He wrote, produced and performed his song. He is sound engineer, and all of this you can see, he and his crew made all alone. He is a boy from a small town, who united Balkan. He Marko Purisic is Baby lasagna. When he came back from Eurosong, in capitol city of Zagreb, thousand's of people saluted him on the main square, you can find everything on RUclips. Government gave him 50 000 Euro for success on Eurosong, but he refused it all, and donated all the money to children's hospital units. You can find his song on RUclips, he's got his one channel, and he is going on his first European tour next year. So, explore the RUclips and you'll discover his great music and how cool and down to earth person he is.
Baby Lasagna is a solo artist (the singer who did the song all by himself - he was actually the only artist this year who wrote, composed, produced etc his song, all the other artists had whole teams behind them) but he gathered this amazing crew of young people (his friends!) who helped him make this performance amazing. He wasn't supposed to compete in national selections because he was on the reserve list and only made it in the competition because someone dropped out, but he swept both televote and jury votes and eventually came second in Eurovision. Amazing story.
And behind his visuals and videos we have his very own talented fiance.
The title refers to the rythm of the song, or this traditional dance that he'll miss from the small town which he leaves behind in this song.

It is a song that does well in that age group. Simple lyrics, a catchy hook, call and response, and a one armed 'dance' that everybody can do. It's like a Balkan version of the Venga Boys. Everybody can join in the fun.🎉🎉

Eurovision is a LIVE televised event held in one single arena, this year it was in Malmo, Sweden as Sweden won last year’s Eurovision. So yeah, it’s always live (at least the main vocals have to be).

The video is beautiful, full of colors and positive vibes. On the upcoming album Demons & Mosquitos there will be songs from various musical genres because Marko is a true musical chameleon.

Baby Lasagna won the publics wote in Eurovision but finished second because the jury gave Nemo more points. I like both but Baby Lasagna really gives that little extra something so I’m going to say it should have won.

If Rammstein really took part in the ESC, they wouldn't really stand out any more because there were already too many imitators.
But at least Baby combined the Rammstein rhythm with football stadium rock, which was at least an innovation. Rammstein as industrial music uses the mass-market choruses rather ironically in the tradition of Laibach as an allusion to the seduction of fascism or right-wing populism today.
