This is a fantastic exploration of the zine format. Each project showcased a unique approach to storytelling. I love how Bill Burlingham experimented with the smartphone's limitations to create something truly innovative. Xia Fletcha and Felipe Oliviera's collaborative effort is inspiring; it shows the power of diverse perspectives. Dan Fiori's project captures the energy of the event in a fresh way. This video is a great reminder that photography isn't just about capturing images; it's about creating meaningful experiences.
Dear Ted, this video was a wonderful gift from you to us, your audience, to inspire a new day. I loved everything you presented, but most of all I loved your discussion of, "The Question Is..." as a way to approach my own imaging journey. Best to you ... Barry
Hi Ted! Appreciate your comments and featuring my postcards project, and especially alongside Dan’s excellent and inspiring work! Next time I’ll include a magnifying glass to accompany any written text :P
Whenever I get a set of my 18 wheeler large format photos bundled into a zine, I'll be sure to send them your way🙂 Been enjoying your presentations for years. Thanks for all your work!
Brilliant as always. I'm inspired to create my first zine! I live in Utah but we recently visited our daughter and made our first trip to NYC. Where Zine site would you recommend?
Mixam is a great place to consider for zine printing. Several students in recent workshops have successfully used Mixam. If you're looking for something a little more unique, check out Newspaper Club -- they print on newsprint like and it's beautiful!!
Now here in UK I am struggling watching your videos, YT"s uk is not showing much your videos in my Feed, but only promoting local nonsense contents. So keep up the good work.
Ted, I appreciate your comments and feedback on my images and project. Next time you are in NYC we should connect to collaborate on “exhibition in a PUB” (😊) Thanks always for your information & inspiration. Take care and be well
any recommendations of places to have zines printed? any places for print on demand for people to order and fulfillment direct to customers via my website?
Always great to check out local print shops if you have any where you live. Alternatively, Mixam is a great place to consider for zine printing. Several of the students in my recent workshops have successfully used Mixam. I believe they have a print-on-demand feature. You could also check out Lulu.com and Blurb for their print-on-demand options. If you're looking for something a little more unique, check out Newspaper Club -- they print on newsprint like and it's beautiful!!
