I'm Canadian so that means I'm a little bit slow. That being said, I was under the impression that these elected legislators are supposed to answer to their constituents NOT a former president who is going to lose AGAIN by 10 million votes.

As a french citizen who live in France, I am VERY impress by Mr Ossoff. He has a good speach, he speaks slowly and clearly (I understood 90% without subtitles). He could be the next US president that I wouldn't be surprised.

Senate minority leader McConnell recently said out loud that Trump killed the bipartisan border security bill for reasons other than the national interest. House Speaker Johnson recently displayed statesmanship over partisan obstruction by bringing the foreign aid bill to the floor for a vote. Might it be possible that the border security bill will be revived, debated, amended (if necessary) and passed by both houses? Before November?

WHEN YOU ASK
When you ask for something to be dome about an issue for years and then when it is about to happen after working out the details. Then you are told by someone running for President not to make the deal which would give you want and have been asking for and you then go and want to tank the deal that would give you what you have wanted, then the issue you have been clamoring for is not really an issue at all.
This is what the Border deal is a big old smoke screen or as they say much a do about nothing. There never was or is an invasion at the southern border, like the Republicans have been telling any and everyone who would listen. Because if it had of this problem would have been fixed by one of the last three Republican Presidents sadly it was not. Yes one of the last three Democratic Presidents could have also fixed the problem, but there was no problem at all.
Yes people do come across the southern border illegally and have been for quite some time and no matter what the American Politicians do it will not stop. Why you ask? Because those same Politicians hire this people who come across the border and pay them less than minimum wage to do the house work, garden, drive, cook and babysit for them. And those that don't work for the Politicians and the wealthy go and work the jobs that Americans wont do.
I know some will say what I am talking about is not true and all I have to say to that is then go and work picking cotton, peppers, watermelon, oranges, limes, grapes, cabbage, lettice and other crops. But we all know you want because you do not want to what is in your pathetic little minds as slave work. Then when these people who do the work you will not you cry and scream that illegal immigrants are taking away your jobs, jobs you wont do in the first place.
Republicans tank the border deal, Democrats should run on the fact that Republicans are the ones who do not want to close down the border and only want to complain about the border.
Look at any of Trump's resorts. You'll see plenty of immigrants working there. Vote Biden/blue all the way.

The border has been a problem since the 80's. Democrats came up with bipartisan border deals in 2006, 2014, 2018 and 2024. Republicans rejected them all. Republicans don't want to fix the border. They want to complain, rile up their base and then campaign on immigration. How many election years have we heard Republicans talk about an invasion at the southern border? When the election was over, NOTHING. It's a scare tactic. They like to spread hate and fear.
Vote Biden/Blue all the way down the ballot. Democrats will take care of the border problem. Save our democracy, save reproductive healthcare/IVF/birth control. Save Social Security/Medicare. Tax the rich their fair share.
