Today I climbed up on the roof myself to repair the roof tarp that was blown away by the wind, then I repaired the homeowner's old table to use as a dining table. Even though I was scared, I still tried. Luckily everything went smoothly and the table was later repaired.

Good for you! I am so familiar with spreading tarps on the roof. For years I used strong tarps to cover the leaks because a new roof is very expensive here.
Everyone has suggestions, even me, but I’m sure you know what’s comfortable for you and your daughter to make you feel comfortable in your home. It’s obvious you are a very neat person and care about your surroundings. I just enjoy watching your videos and hope you continue to have joy and comfort in your home.
Landlord doesn't do crap. She already paid to have a door put in and window shutters. When she first moved in the roof was a mess and leaked so she had to buy the tarp to repay the roof because she didn't have the money to replace the whole roof, plus the inside was a total garbage pail. I give this women a gold star for all she has do do the place. Oh, that doesn't include electric she had put in and locks for door.
