People are asking for a “instrumental only version”, but I in fact love the noise from the people. There's tons of covers already, but this really brings it to life, with the real experience of playing with friends. Thank you so much for this video!

That opening bit was so goddamn beautiful. I’ve never felt the need to cry to music but I actually got all glassy eyed edit: I continued watching. Rainbow Road made me cry. Lol. Amazing job guys.
Imagine getting a bunch of friends together to play some good 'ol mario kart, and then on the stage is a live orchestra playing the music to your party. That'd be sick
Every time I watch this, I'm convinced that the whole thing was recorded in one take perfectly as it appears here, and I won't be convinced otherwise. This entire endeavour is a splendid work of art and a labour of love that Nintendo fans know in their heart of hearts.
It’s simply criminal that this doesn’t have more views. The sheer amount of passion and sincerity that went into making this (along with the rest of your guys’ work) is unparalleled. You all are so talented, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Keep on shining, super stars ✨
This is amazing; the quality of the arrangements is amazing!!! Beautiful improvs by the brass section, buttery smooth flute on Frappe Snowland… I would be a massive advocate of more music like this being in future Mario Kart games. If you’re not listening to these arrangements and are like: “Woah… this soundtrack just got leveled up!!!”, then you honestly don’t know what “quality” is from a musical standpoint.
I could legitimately listen to a full version of just the 4 bars of Menu music in the medley, that's how amazing this whole thing. Every single part of the music is arranged perfectly, not just the actual tracks. Beautiful piece
Really glad you guys didn't go for an 100% authentic multiplayer audio experience here by having the band just fall silent as soon as gameplay began, definitely an artistic liberty that heightened the overall experience a fair bit.
Rainbow road nostalgia hits hard... Amazing work to all and thanks for bringing back so many memories of those long gaming nights with friends as kids :)
Every time I watch this video it puts a huge smile on my face throughout the whole video. The orchestration and video cuts are perfect and I honestly can’t get enough.
This is absolutely perfect in every single way. I love everything about this, the joy and togetherness of everyone playing, laughing, and just being humans. And of course the love and friendship. This is a victory song. 🙏❤
Wow, this is perfect. Literally everything I was hoping for and so much more. The simplistic yet bombastic main theme, the EVEN MORE bombastic Luigi's Raceway, the calming, tremendous harmony in Koopa Troopa Beach, the magical multitude of strings in Frappe Snowland, brassy triumph of Rainbow Road, all with great result screen interludes. Not to mention the pizza of course. Amazing job guys.
Yeah, maybe a little too much background voices I could barely even hear the menu theme, heading to the bandcamp for this one, but great work everyone.
Read the description and visit their Bandicamp and spotify! They have all the pure music and extra tracks not on RUclips there like Gerudo Valley and Delphino Plaza.
This is quite fun, but I'd love an "instrumental" version without the noises from the games or the people talking. Your videos usually have a few noises, but this is much more than usual and it's covering the beautiful music, which I think most of us are here for
That's why there's a bandcamp link in the description with the high quality instrumental. And personally I think as a video, it's a pretty cool idea and has a nice novelty factor/eye catcher for people seeing the channel for the first time.
Agreed 100%. The style is neat but there's waaaaaaaay too much background noise and chatter and the like. It's not so bad between tracks and for transitions, but mid-song it's quite jarring.
Not to sound pretentious, but I think I understand why you let the background noise be added. Just like John Cages 4’33”, where silence and rests last for 4 minutes and 33 seconds, it’s believed that the background noise that happens during that moment of silence becomes a part of the music In theory, the background chatter adds a unique vocal rhythm and percussion in between levels, while its paired with a soloist, via Saxophone or other, emphasizing that it’s even MORE improvised than your usual improv solo... LONG STORY SHORT I think this song is cool 😂😎
The 8-Bit Big Band no prob, I see there are other comments saying the background noise gets in the way of the music itself, but it’s also nice to understand the artistic reason why the background noise was kept where it was. Side Note: “MOOOOM, CAN WE GET SOME PIZZA?!” Was the best line added to this sound track 😂
I played this to death when I was kid. That Snow level was one of my favorites! Rainbow Road! Then the winning theme! Always loved the music! Stellar job all!
This is Absolutely Amazing! No Joke! The music, the welcome to Mario kart intro and how you do it live! You out did yourself! I'm giving this Orchestra... A Five 1st place outta Five 1st place
Man everything about this is amazing. Obviously the music is incredible, but the split of the video into four sections like the game and that sax solo at the beginning of rainbow road where you guys cut to him being the only one in the studio just elevates the video even more. You guys are seriously the best.
Brilliant as usual. Killin' it Mr. Neely! I really like the way you wrote for the woodwind and strings during frappe snowland :) And rainbow road was just captured fantastically. Well done, everyone!
What an utterly breathtaking experience! Thank you all for coming together to create something so incredible, and thanks again for sharing it with us, so much to see I couldn't decide where to look, but I certainly felt like a part of the action! Absolutely outstanding, I'd love to see you perform LIVE! WELL DONE!
I remember watching the livestream on vacation and seeing this performed. ‘Tis a perfect recapture and recreation in every way! You guys are truly the best cover artists I have ever watched, and to all of you, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for these amazing and perfect covers of music new and old, memorable and charming, and truly masterpieces of an age. Now, Mr. Composer, I know you’re the one reading this first, so get on the Banjo cover why the hype is through the roof!
So fun~ thank you for the waves of nostalgic memories of childhood when I was competing with my sibling. All the stage tracks are so memorable but spiced up with a little jazz magic! Loved it!
Other than the absolute joy this is to listen to, let alone watch, I love the segments in between races where the band still performs and didn’t even notice until around the second race they were there
That is the jazziest version of Luigi circuit I have ever heard; You guys really nailed all of these themes! Edit: Also that rainbow road theme gave me chills. Great job!
0:26 Fewer moments have brought me closer to crying from nostalgia than hearing this theme gloriously brought back to life in full jazz orchestra! THANK YOU!
This was absolutely incredible (as is every one of your videos)! Seeig you guys like this really makes me wish to know more about you all! Your names, favourite games, how you came together... Would really love a Q&A or something with you!
All you need is a ripping lead guitar and this could pretty much fit right into the mario kart 8 soundtrack. Phenomenal arrangement and performance from everyone involved.
Awesome!!, Wgat an incredible fantastic emotive Jazz Mario Kart arrangement!!!!, it´s a jewel!!!. Congratulations to all the best ever creative musicians!!
MY BOY ADAM NEELY ON BASS

BASS!

The crazy thing is that the regular bass player is conducting the strings in this recording, so Adam is the SECOND call guy!

I heard the intro with “welcome to MarioKart” and was immediately amazed
Me too, also mario kart 9 soundtrack?
Me: That bass is sounding on point

The roland sc-88pro is better
I badly want to see this on Adam’s channel as a gig vlog

Chills the WHOLE WAY THROUGH! These arrangements are more than amazing!
The music of rainbow road sounds like the overture of a Broadway musical

good stuff
I don't remember Mario Kart 64 that well, but I seem to recall in Double Dash, you have to play at every cc level to unlock everything.
