I love the meetings and philosophy of only the finest work no matter. I imagine a full ground up resto from your shop is crazy expensive, but the result would be the best example of the car probably on the planet. I have to say that you learn one very valuable lesson from this video, more so than any on RUclips. The decision to walk away. When there is so much that needs to be done, it is not economically feasible to continue. I wish most people saw these cars this way. I still think it's a solid car, but if you are not doing the work yourself then it could add up to be four times the car's value. Smart to walk away. It till find a home with someone who can do DIY and get it done. Most mid-year 911s in the USA from this time are very rusted and trashed. This one looks clean. It will be a welcome project for someone who doesn't have to pay someone. However, if it were me, I would delete the sunroof altogether - why spend 5000 euro on it when you can delete the sunroof?

If I were the car's owner I will do a less ambitious restoration. Canceling the sun roof for instance. The important thing is to enjoy the car qnd its preservation.
