If you are watching this because you are also coming to UofT check out my list of EVERYTHING you need to bring to Uni: www.amazon.ca/shop/richardhan I used my 3 years of Uni experience to make this list so I hope this helps! With that being said I hope you guys enjoyed my hectic move in day vlog :) I know that some of you guys are moving in today so I really hope everyone's move in goes well! (The actual move in starts at 1:55) As always thank you so much for watching this video!
It's amazing, I saw this video when I was in 10th grade. I was in high school in China at the time, and never would have imagined that I would be traveling halfway across the world to Canada to study at this university and live in this dormitory.
I love all of your videos so much! They really help me get a feel for the school and personally more prepared. I plan to apply to U of T as an international student and your videos have made feel so much more confidence in the process. THANK YOU!
@@RichardHan quick question, do you have your meal plan ready as long as you move in?(like if i move in in the afternoon can i eat dinner with my meal plan right away?) Also, do i need to have a Tcard in order to do that?(like is it ok to not having a tcard to have the meal plan)
@@frank634 Yes, your meal plan should be ready to go as soon as you move in, however you will probably need your Tcard to do that. I would recommend you to reach out to New College registrar about this if you don't have your Tcard. If you have any further questions please let me know and I wish you all the best!
Hey, great vid! As a fellow UofT student, may I gently suggest you bleep out your unit number before this gets too big? I know Toronto is quite safe, but don’t know if the whole world should know your exact address. Just concerned for your safety. Have an amazing year!
Hey, first of all thank you so much for your concern, I really appreciate a fellow UofT student looking out for me! There were two main reasons on why I included my room number in the video. First, being one of the RAPs (Residence Academic programmer) I wanted to let other students in my residence know where I am so they can contact me when they need something. Second, the dorms are locked and can only be accessed with a key that only the residence of this dorm have. Also because of COVID-19 no guests are allowed within the dorm as well. So because of all this I thought it would be safe to let students know where I live. I want to thank you again for your concern and I hope you have an amazing year as well! I wish you all the best👍👍!
Thank you so much and great question, so the price of these dorm rooms differ based on your room style but I would say they are around 15k for the entire school year👍👍!
Hey Ill be going on an exchange to UofT. So ive been looking at the campus prices and theyre super expensive from 10k-17k cad for a semester(4 months) Is that really the case? How much are you spending on your residency? And idk about canadian culture, but if it really is that expensive is it then common that its the parents who pay? or does the student save up beforehand? I just can't seem to wrap my head around how any students can afford such expensive rent :I hope you reply THANK YOU
Great question, so at least for new college residences the dorm cost comes out to be around 15k for the entire year (2 semesters) which is a little less expensive than the residences you were looking at. I don't know how many parents are willing to pay for everything but I know that many of my friends are getting student loans + a little help from their parents. I also think that many high school students try to save up as much as they can in high school before going to universities. Again this all depends on what you and your parents believe in so it's really hard to answer this question (and of course I understand how expensive universities can be...). I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish you all the best👍👍!
@@RichardHan Where do you find the 15k price for a year? Is there a website you use? If it wouldn't be too much trouble can you check what prices you can find for on-campus residency for 4 months? Sometimes its easier to find information when you're actually there and I don't wanna pay extra just because I'm an exchange student hehe
@@AllNamesAreJustTaken There should be a website for uoft residences but if you can't find it I would recommend you to reach out to your college registrar about this as well👍👍!

From what you've seen when you were in year 1, what were the most common types of laptops people used in commerce at UofT?
I would say MacBooks or Samsung laptops are pretty popular among RC and UofT students in general👍👍!

I think it depend on which residency you will be. Some have room mate some don't.
Hey, do you think a first year rotman student would need to bring a suit for the fall term?
Yes, I would bring a suit just in case👍👍

At least for my dorm it's around 7K~8K per semester👍👍 (15K for the whole year).

Are u studying with any scholarship or you pay it?

There’s a group a of like 10 people at Trinity who all want your autograph
