    Here's an in depth explanation if you want one lol I had already typed it out for one of my friends who was confused too...
    In 'I Need You' each member is dealing with his own demons and it ends up being their downfall. To me they represent a lot of the issues young people are dealing with today. Drug abuse (J-Hope), Neglect (Jungkook, BTS have explained that he's a runaway), Physical abuse (Taehyung, the man he killed is said to be his father and the girl he was abusing his sister), Despondency/Depression (Suga, Jimin), Anger (Namjoon). In 'I Need You', J-Hope overdoses on his medication, Jungkook is beat up by delinquents on the streets and is later run-over, Jimin drowns himself, Suga sets fire to his room and Namjoon blows up the gas station he works at, symbolized by him dropping a cigarette on the money thrown at him and they cut away straight to Yoongi's blazing room (we all know fire and gas don't mix).
    At the end of 'I Need You' the only ones who we speculate are left alive are Taehyung and Jin. Taehyung runs and hides after he killed who we suspect is his father. He then calls Jin, who is the only friend he has left. Distraught over what he's done, which was probably triggered by the trauma of his other friend's deaths, he tells Jin "Hyung, I want to see you/them." Somehow they wind up together at the beach where the scaffolding is and Taehyung jumps. We don't see that actually happen because real-time cuts off after Taehyung ends his call. If you'll notice, the next time we see Taehyung he is wearing something completely different and the blood is gone. He lays out in the middle of the deserted pool and we see the other members (who we assume are dead) run up and greet him, almost as if they're welcoming him. Namjoon laughs and says "What are you doing?" and Taehyung looks up with an almost relieved and ridiculously happy smile.
    Jin shows up separately and from the opposite side from where the rest of the members came from, which leads me and others to believe that he's the only one still alive. He's holding a camera and if you'll notice he's seeing the boys through it's lense and continues to do so throughout the whole video. I think the footage represents Jin's memories of his time with the boys and the trauma of losing them has led him to want to relive those moments(they could also be actual hallucinations). Jin goes to places they've been happy together, trying to feel closer to them and what we see through his video are basically his memories/hallucinations. This is why throughout the whole prologue he's always videotaping. In one scene he's videotaping a butterfly and he looks up suddenly toward the direction of the pool and you see that it's empty with only a plastic bag floating by. The rest of the boys aren't there.
    In the next opening scene after we leave the pool, Namjoon is leaving a message on a mirror that says 'you have to survive' which some are interpreting as a message to Jin. Either he's hallucinating Namjoon leaving him a message telling him to be strong or it's his mind reminding him he has to keep going. When Jin holds up a picture of the empty horizon (the one that mimics the last scene in 'I Need You') he asks if they should 'go there' they all nod. This place, wherever it is, seems to be important because we've seen it a lot. I think this is the last place they were all together and happy before their lives derailed. Two telling things happen on their way when they're at the gas station: Namjoon takes a picture of Jin and Yoongi and J-Hope comes back with a bag of snacks. You'll notice the gas station is actually closed, the lights are off and the doors are barred and locked up, more evidence that J-Hope isn't actually alive and this is all just a parallel in Jin's mind.
    When they finally reach their destination, which is Taehyung's final resting place, they all sit along the edge of the ocean looking out. I think this parallels Jin's last memory with Taehyung. I think they went to that same place after Tae called him. Maybe to think over what to do to help him or maybe to feel closer to the other boys. I think things happened exactly like they do in the video. Jin is playing with his camera and isn't really noticing what Tae is doing, Tae looks at him and subtly walks away without saying anything and climbs the scaffolding. Finally realizing Tae isn't beside him Jin looks around and see's Taehyung is on the scaffolding. He accidentally points his camera up and records him while staring in confusion and he ends up watching Taehyung jump.
    This is the most heartbreaking to me because the actual footage of Taehyung recorded on the scaffolding means this is a memory of Jin's and something he may have actually recorded along with every other scene he has with the boys. Throughout Jin's video there are subtle reminders of how each member died (as if Jin's mind is reminding him they're not actually there). Yoongi playing with a lighter exactly like he does in 'I Need You' when they're sitting around the fire, Jimin shivering in the back of the truck like he does in the bathroom right before he drowns, J-Hope falling asleep and looking 'passed out', Namjoon at the gas station with his lollipop, Jungkook's solitary moments away from the members (like when's he's walking along the wall and sitting by himself on the ledge before Yoongi joins him) and Taehyung climbing to the roof of the abandoned building by himself and looking out. It's like they're constantly living out their last moments. The reminders are there but they're all vague for every member except for Taehyung. This is because Jin wasn't actually there when the rest of them died, he only knows how it happened. In contrast, with Tae we see exactly what happened in detail which means he was probably there.
    In the end Jin is left alone, he's sitting in his truck and reaches into his glove box to get the picture Namjoon took. When he looks at the picture his smile drops because it's glaringly obvious that Yoongi isn't in the picture like he's supposed to be and it's a selfie. He's reminded that he's alone. People have also speculated that Jin has driven his car into the water and he's waiting for the tide to rise so he can join the rest of the boys and that's why he's going back and reliving everything. Sorry, this was long lol but this is all I know about what people are saying about both videos.

    You are right. V and Jin missed their friends, who are dead, as they are going through some tough moments. V is dealing with having murdered his own father (the picture he crumbles up in the beginning has the same guy in the INU MV, it's not a woman or his mom). V and Jin relive the happy moments they had together with the others. It's all an hallucination both create. In the end though, V jumps to his suicide, to join the others in death/heaven. He can no longer face the harsh reality and the pain. Jin wakes up from his 'dream', when he looks at the picture he supposedly took with Suga, only to find himself in it. He's all alone afterall. Everyone left him. It's pretty depressing :((
    Thanks for the reaction! Hope you're as excited as me for the comeback! :))

    You need to watch run!! it's the third (and probably the last) pat of i need u + prologue. There are a million theories (jin died or the others died) and questions which order it is;
    i need u - prologue - run or run - prologue - i need u..... Please react to run and tell us what u think. because the last scene comes back in the run mv, but with other members... Thanx for the reaction though, they are nice :)

    BTS just released the music video for their song 'Run". You should react to it! It's in the "series" I guess you can say of I Need U and the Prologue. The song is hella good too.
