Modena's Cheese Haven and Ferrari's Spirit of the Prancing Horse

Our adventures in Modena, Italy continue today with a visit to the Ferrari Museum and a cheese making farm. But first, we start with a dinner at Locanda in San Francesco, the restaurant at the hotel (Hotel Rua Frati in San Francesco). This restaurant is famous in Modena for hosting Enzo Ferrari and Luciano Pavarotti.
At dinner we get to try dishes that Modena, Italy is famous for! First we have tortellini in a chicken stock topped with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. We also have an artichoke salad and Tortu Sabbiosa (Sandy Cake) for dessert. "Me" once again makes a great wine choice, a 2018 Maestroso and we enjoy a local Lambrusco.
The next morning I hopped right out of bed because.....It was my Birthday! Happy Birthday to me! (Mrs. Karnes) And what a birthday it was!
We started our day by visiting the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena. The exhibits here celebrate the spirit of the "Prancing Horse"! It was fun to get to see so many race cars and memorabilia. It's worth a stop if you are in Modena especially if you have anyone interested in cars. The museum is very well done and even I, Mrs. Karnes enjoyed it!
Our next stop was the Moscattini Farm. This farm is located outside of Modena. I contacted the Modena Chamber of Commerce to set up out tour. They were super helpful and did a great job!
The Moscattini Farm is considered a small cheese making farm. After seeing it I'm wondering what a large farm looks like. I thought this farm was big. I will say they were so friendly and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would highly recommend visiting them! They were amazing!
