Excellent video! I have the same issue on my ‘81. I will try the same repair.

I recently acquired a 1981 380sl for free. It had been sitting in my neighbor's driveway for 15 years. ruclips.net/video/OXuDYs3dCOQ/видео.html
To get to the point, I can not get the car to run. OK, I can get it started, but it will not accelerate but it idles smoothly. I do not know much about Mercedes, I am learning on line. Thanks for the videos by the way. When it is idling, I push down on the pedal and the engine bogs down or dies. If I gently push down on the air flow plate it speeds up. I have checked the Idle control valve and the WUR. Seem to be working. If this was a British car I would be looking for a vacuum leak. One other thing, the Tach does not work and there is no power to several fuses in the fuse box. My problem is, I don't know where to look for the problem on this car. Could you point me in the right direction?
    Thanks.
    Bob

The best source for information is this forum: www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c107-sl-slc-class.29/
I would start checking engine timing, and the advance unit.

A swing and a miss but COULDVE been so helpful.
    1. Where is it located?
    2. What is it's function
    3. How does it work?
    4. How to remove it?
    5. How to reinstall?
Guys who are super smart on these cars forget that some of us are just starting...

You can see me remove it in a previous video here: ruclips.net/video/W1R1pWrwQIk/видео.html.
Simply put, it is an electronic valve that is controlled by the ECU to regulate the fuel/air mixture based on lambda sensor input.
      Very good detail here: www.benzworld.org/threads/k-jetronic-with-lambda-overview-and-adjustment.2182425/#post-10439529
      Good luck with your car
