    Cover2Cover - I found gold!
I have question about forgiveness though. Matthew 6:14-15 says “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. “But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”
Q1. Is not forgiving someone affect our salvation?
Q2. What if that person does not know or admits his/her wrongdoing? Should we still forgive? Does forgiveness require reconciliation?

Hey Frank, glad you are enjoying Cover 2 Cover! Now for your questions: 1) It is important on any topic to look at the whole Bible and not just one passage. It is clear on forgiveness that one who truly received God's forgiveness will forgive others (but may not immediately). So forgiveness moreso demonstrates our salvation.

      2) If they don't know or admit their wrongdoing, how unfortunate! But we still are called to forgive (not trust 100% or be best friends with). Doing so will be better for us. Not forgiving affects us more than anyone else. Like a snake bite. They "bit" us, but the poison in us is something we can get rid of. That's a big part of what forgiveness does. Reconciliation is ideal, but it takes two people to make it happen. What one person can control is being open to it and making our intentions clear. Every relationship is different so timing is important. I suggest seeking counsel with specifics. I'm available as one perspective if you need :)

Last thought, my senior pastor Josh taught me people are never the enemy. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. There is a spiritual war that wants us to fight and destroy ourselves. Something I need to remind myself of when I am offended. Hope that helps. God bless!

@@CharismaticGold I agree but I always found it little strange that in the Lord's prayer it says, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors" and not the other way around. Something like "Help us to forgive our debtors as You have forgiven our debts" would make better sense to me.

@@CharismaticGold I think I'm good now, but I might need to seek some counsels later on thank you!
