Today, we finally get a look at the isles new map gateway! I decided to be a carnotaurus since Pteranadon was disabled for the time being. We explore a bit of gateway, see how brutal the nighttime is, and hunt within the new migration zones! i hope you enjoy it!

I'm glad they finally fixed night vision. The old version was terrible, this is how it's supposed to be.
The OLD nv looks like this pretty much, 6.5 and 6s nv was a newerish version but I agree

@@KwuzardGen Not in the slightest. Probably one of the easiest predator next to croc and raptor. I'm not even sure if they fixed bucking so a raptor can just pounce and stay on.

The isle looks so much better already! I can't wait to see gateway fully!

i love that people are complain so much about the health bar being gone like we didnt survive just fine without one for all of legacy XD
the nightvision makes sense. if i was a troodon which has much better night vision because it is a nocturnal dino I would be so mad if a carno had the same night vision that I had. carno is diurnal so it hunts during the day.

I honestly hope they dont remove being able to see your hp permanently. In that case get rid of food and water levels and make it all sound q based. Unless they make the bloody screen show your damage correctly. Other than that im beyond excited for this
No I don’t agree. We didn’t have a health bar in legacy and it was fine. They say they’ve removed it to prevent meta gaming and that makes sense.
I even do it myself. It’s hard not to when you can literally see your health.

45:32 They will add the pt when update 7 comes out they did not add tp in stress test cos they don’t want you to show the whole map and only a little bit and let people just run around etc

I didn't think it was possible to make the night vision worse...
Night vision looks alot better, carnos night vision itself isnt good because carno isnt a nocturnal hunter in the game

The map not showing where you will spawn is supposed to be like that or they will fix it later?
I'm pretty sure that will be fixed later. It's been like that before on stress tests in the past, typically goes back to normal on public release.

man what is wrong with these devs man. why is every dinosaur survival game obsessed with cliffs. spiro was awful and now this. same as PoT. old map was full of cliffs to the west. and that new map IS a whole big cliff i dont say dont build verticality but in combination with zero visibility its a fkn joke. an i have the same opinion. daytime hunter here or there, u need to be able to get around or basically your gameplay loop at night transforms into sitting around for 20 mins half you playtime, waiting to be day

Why
Why? Gateway might revive the isle, it looks great. The map is bigger than isla spiro and is more polished than the current map. If i'm not wrong we are not going to get any dinos but we will get weather, migration system, Gateway and etc. I'm actually excited, this is going to be a pretty good update if devs wont change/remove something important.

when the map is playable for everyone will the new dinosaurs come with the map or are thy in another update like 7.5
Thats Something I'm not sure about yet. Originally, I thought new playables would be coming with gateway, but at the current moment, we are just testing gateway. It's either they are just showing gateway now only to bring up another embargo later for playables, or they are getting ready to just release gateway along with some dino changes. I would bet on the ladder and hope for the former.
