Hello, I discovered your videos recently, and I really appreciate it, especially your in depth knowledge on that gear and your manner to explain : clear and quiet ! I have questions : in my Blofeld Keyboard, I haven't the same samples that yours. Is it due to the version of the OS (1.22 for me) ? Is it possible to change this samples ? I going through this video series right now. Big thanks!I have used the sysex librarian to upload my wavetable. Does anybody know where they live when you upload them. I know they might live in the User Wavetables but how do we know which it is? I can't find the name of the sysex file. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for these great tutorials. I just picked up a desktop Blofeld with the sample license and mine didn’t come with those dreamy mellotron samples installed. Are they official sounds or something you added yourself ?

I added the Mellotron samples later by myself. They are (unfortunately) not included in the factory samples. I am planning a tutorial for that, too.

You can not change the init sound in the Blofeld. But you can save own "Init" sounds as normal patches and copy them always to other slots.

Hey, ich komme immer wieder auf deine Blofeld Tutorials zurück. Ich habe mir jetzt zum zweiten Mal einen bestellt - ich denke diesmal wird er bleiben. Du zeigst hier bei Minute 9:23 einen Melotron Choir Sample. Ich suche unbedingt gute Choir Samples, hast du vielleicht welche und kommt man da irgendwie dran vielleicht?

Ein Chor ist bei der Sample-Erweiterung ja bereits mit dabei. Das Mellotron-Sample habe ich damals aus einem VST aufgenommen. Inzwischen bekommt man ja im Internet alle möglichen Samples. Wenn du welche im WAV-Format mit eingebetteten Loop-Informationen findest, kannst du damit ein eigenes Multisample-Programm für den Blofeld bauen. Auch dazu habe ich schon Videos hochgeladen.

Danke für deine Rückmeldung! Du hast recht. Gestern habe ich die Samplefunktion freigeschaltet und es waren Choirs dabei, genau wie ich sie brauche. Ich habe noch eine Frage, vielleicht kannst du diese beantworten, das wäre super :) Ich steuere den Blofeld über Ableton via USB Kabel. Das funktioniert super. Aber mitr ist aufgefallen, dass der LFO nicht synchron ist. Das heißt, wenn ich z.B. eine Viertelnote im Sequenzer eingebe und den LFO im Blofeld auf eine halbe Note mit dem Cutoff einstelle, dann startet er nicht immer exakt, was sehr ärgerlich ist. Es knackst auch hin und wieder. Es ist auch egal ob ich ihn auf Sync und Clock geschaltet habe oder nocht. @@SynthesizerVideo

@@SynthesizerVideo Hat sich erledigt. Du hast das schon erklärt in einem Tutorial - super :) Die Phase muss auf Null stehen, damit der LFO sauber von Anfang an startet. Und die Clock wird nicht sauber von der DAW übernommen. Ich bin so begeistert von dem Blofeld. Er klingt einfach charakterstark und macht für mich viele teure Synthesizer obsolet.

I've got one of these. A couple of the keys don't work so I emailed them about replacing parts. Very very poor customer service. They put me on to distributor who was even worse. Do touch these with someone else's bargepole

There is no big difference. The keyboard version has a sample player already activated. The desktop version needs an update for this (can be bought seperately or when you buy a used Blofeld, it sometimes got the installation already done).
