      No they were never found guilty, it was the opposite. They were only charged for not cooperating with uefas initial investigation.

      They were found guilty by UEFA, but won on appeal in the court of arbitration of sport because of a 5 year statute of limitation. I was wondering if any of the charges overlapped.

      @@bluemoon1716 UEFA is a governing body and did find them guilty. The 3 judge panel of CAS voted 2-1 to overturn the case. CAS themselves stated, “The Cas judgment makes no suggestion of bias, and that Uefa by no means filed frivolous charges against MCFC. As also acknowledged by MCFC, there was a legitimate basis to prosecute MCFC.”

    35 of the charges are for City not cooperating with league investigations. Why would you refuse access to your accounts if there was nothing wrong? Surely you would happily let the investigators in to clear your name if you were innocent 🤦‍♂️🤡

    Simon Jordan's final point sums it up best. Nobody who claims to have irrefutable evidence they are innocent would want their name dragged through the mud this long. Why would an innocent club be so obstructive and not try to clear its name a few years ago? It makes no sense. City have been rumbled and they don't like it.

      How would it have tried to clear its name though? Surely the court hearings are the perfect place to display this evidence. It’s a legal battle. If City released all their evidence into the public then it may mess with the legal proceedings. That’s just common in civil disputes..

    There can be only one outcome of this case with 115 charges against Manchester City: they are found and proved guilty with numerous points if not all.
    And the consequent penalty must be according to the crime: a deduction of 120 - 400 points or outright expulsion from the Premier League. Maybe coupled with some titles stripped.
    Otherwise the Premier League and its commissions have lost all faith in the eyes of the wide football community and are unfit to deal any other FFP and PSR cases.

      The most likely outcome is a settlement where city pay the prems legal fees admit to at most not being completely cooperative with the prem while they were investigating and all other charges are found not guilty. It’s the best solution for everyone and it’s not close. Letting this go to a judge decision is a disaster for everyone. If city lose the league is screwed. If city win the league is screwed. The only way to semi survive this for the prem is to settle

      No they won because uefa had didn't have sufficient evidence to claim what they were claiming cause they were literally a few charges were time bared but even those UEFA had little to no evidence to provide it cause "lack of evidence" was literally mentioned more than 12 times in the final report

      The rest of the charges were thrown out due to insufficient evidence.
      Go back and read the CAS verdict.
      The only charge which stood was failure to co-operate.

    City's problem is that the numbers speak for themselves. They have splashed cash that they clearly didn't earn in an open fair market. The intertwined relationships are clear for all to see and for the City hierarchy to deny the point and effect of those relationships would be like the PM trying to claim he didn't get clothes and glasses from a donor having written down in a register that he did. The public aren't as stupid as these people think, City's affairs don't pass the sniff test and all the legal shenanigans are distraction.
