On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, the WWE finally got rid of the last ugly championship belt. The blue tag titles are gone. They reintroduced the WWE tag team championships and this is how they look. I absolutely love these belts so much. These remind me of the older tag titles from the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression era with a modern twist.

I think a variant of the IC title with the white strap would make for a great women’s mid card belt
We need a whole new show just for women. They don't get enough time, way too many wrestlers in just one night.
They can use the old IC belt for women

WWE main roster doesn't need it for now through, with Women's Tag Team titles being a prop, it will just end up as prop as their are less women they can't postion just anybody on PLE's with no storyline.
White Strap IC title should be reserved for men.

1) I knew the Smackdown tag titles would get renamed as the WWE Tag titles since the Smackdown women’s title got the same treatment 2) love the design. Remind me of the design from 1985 to 2002

HHH needs to bring back the Winged Eagle Belt. The Undisputed title is still a logo eyesore.

My only minor gripe with the new wwe tag belts is they should've added some blue to the globe and name label. Otherwise, perfect.
Something similar happens with the RAW ones. They have a bit too much red.
@@RabidDeathCursed oh to clarify, perhaps not the name label but rather just the top bit above crown and the globe. I don’t wwe’s recent hate on putting the blue back onto the globe, like the icc which would look way better imo if the globes have blue colours.
Or make the black stand out more to make it look similar to the IC championship
I think that’s the same minor gripe people had with the US title. It’s lack of representing colour or something along the lines
@@orenges7034 Honestly, I would nitpick the USC the MOST because it rather looks unfinished imo. Look, with more colours it may look worse, but the point of the usc is that the colours of the us flag are more important than gold. So the top bit behind the stars should’ve been blue and the side plates should’ve had all the three colours. I saw this version on the 2k community creations and it looks like the ideal design.

The next step for Papa H is firing Def Rebel and either bringing back CFO$ / the legend Jim Johnson or hiring a new Good band that actually knows how to create a catchy song
I agree but we probably need to be patient, there is a lot of stuff for Papa H to do. Fixing all the titles for me would be the first thing
I think they should have multiple sources of music production not just one entity, I’m fine with them brongong in CFO$ and Potentially Johnston if he wants to spearhead the dept and advise the the younger guys in how to do it right

There's only one issue with the title, and that's a lack of color, which is the same issue as the IC title. The globe is not blue in both titles, but the difference is the Tag Titles look way better than the World Tag and IC titles.

Honestly I prefer the Raw ones a little bit more, but these are also great. I guess it's because I'm a watcher since 2012
My only complaint about this titles are the history.
I think the raw tag team championships (2016-2024) needed to move to smackdown and renamed to the wwe tag team championship because they originally the wwe smackdown tag team championship (the 2002 smackdown tag titles).
And the smackdown tag titles (2016-2024) needed to move to raw and rename to the world tag team championship, yeah it’s not the same title from the RA era but rather see this happen.
World tag team champion from 70s to 2010 are beast until being combined with WWE tag champion (now new world tag champion) then become Defunct WWE decided to favor of 2002 one as sole tag titles not split them up that vince miss oppunity.HHH make for it in 2024
The fact that the oldest belt design in the company now is the women's tag titles is kinda crazy. Though you can argue the WWE title has had the same design since 2013

Something about the raw titles look a little unfinished. While the smackdown had definitely had some thought put in to it.
Right now Raw had all the world titles and Smackdown has all the WWE titles. It still feels the same as red and blue belts but its more interchangeable since its not color coded

imo, old late 2010s titles (ones right before the new era) looked fine except the IC and US championships, those got an upgrade but the rest ehhh.

They should have brought back the designs for the World tag team championships that were used in the Ruthless aggression era
I don't see WWE bringing back the old IC title with the white strap, because nowadays a white strap means it's a womens title. Sure, they could slap on a black strap (or like a dark red one like the NXT NA Championship), but they could also just add a little color to the current design. I think right now that would be their best move, as GUNTHER put some history on this current design and it'd be a shame to not keep that going.

The new tag tiles to me are a fusion of the Federation era tag titles (Golden era is a *STUPID* name for the 80s. That name better fits the 60s and 70s,) and the Undisputed WWE title from the Ruthless Aggression era.
I love them. I love the low-profile design. It reminds me of a combination of the old school tag titles and the '02 Undisputed Title that Brock and Eddie carried.
Now those are tag-team belts!! Glad WWE brought back the Ruthless Agression era WWE tag-team championships with an updated design.
These new smackdown tag team championship give me wwe golden era mid 2000’s ruthless aggression era tag team championship vibes right here.

I think both the World and WWE tag title designs are fantastic and I love the fact that they're unique. To me they nailed it so perfectly that I couldn't pick a favorite between the two.
the variety of championships make they have their own personality and importance for each wrestler that holds it.
The OG SHAPED titles are back but with the new championship I LOVE IT I don’t know why they don’t do it for all the belts but it’s nice to see the OG BELTS BACK.
Only problem with the current IC title now is that it’s missing Blue in the globe. If it had blue in it, that title would be nice. Maybe with a white strap too.
I also wish they brought back the world tag design from the ruthless aggression as well.

I love the design, but my girlfriend said they are bland compared to the ones Awesome Truth got. I like that you mentioned how those titles look like the 24/7 championship though because that means R-Truth kind of influenced them and he will forever leave his mark on them.

My only real complaint about awesome truth’s belts are that they have red in them so most likely means they’re staying on raw. The wwe tag titles look brand neutral. I doubt any of the titles switch brands in the draft

I used to like the old wwe tag team titles that were on Smackdown! Good to see the shape of them back!
Considering they had some of the world tag team championships have red on it,
as an homage to the previous world tag team championships before the penny belts debuted,
i think having the new WWE tag tag team championships have some blue on them, would make sense too.
Finally a title that doesn't have just the sideplate for that wreslers logo, but a second sideplate

This is the greatest wwe tag team championship design, i know everyone wishes the belt had a little blue but creator deserves credit giving the belt character and kudos to triple h taking over because that's what's best for business 👏

These title belts, along with the newer ones have "Identity Crisis" written all over them.
They should bring the winged eagle back in place of undisputed title. The winged eagle is prestigious. Guys like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flaie, Randy Savage, Bret, HBK, Undertaker all held that belt

Got an hot take or prediction: I feel like Balor lowkey is teaming up with Liv Morgan and is soon going to turn on Damien and go after his world heavyweight title while adding Liv in Balor’s Judgement day Bullet Club style. So that way Damien can turn face as well as Rhea once she comes back and have Dirty Dom in a stand still on who to chose
Every title in WWE now has the feature to put on custom side plates, which I think is a huge contributing factor as to why they were updated. The old tag belts were not only terrible but could not use the custom side plates.
I hope they do this with IC and WWE world title.

I think the undisturbed title will be Morphing back into the WWE title or take a idea from AJPW and make it a Triple Crown. It's the WWE Champion pre 2011, World Heavyweight Champion pre 2011 and Universal Champion pre 2022.
IC title needs the same treatment that the new spackdown tag belts got. Take the classic shape, give it the layered CNC treatment.
I do wish the new belts had a little more colour to them, though. Blue in the globes, at least.

- WWE US Title, NXT Tag Team (Men's) and NXT North American Men's and Women's are good enough design to stay for maybe another year or 2
They look like something that's worth fighting for.
