Thanks for all the vids and effort. I’ve been using my apr in 300 wm for a few years now and long range is a great challenge. Always nice to change it up and have a little fun. Get you some bacon bro
This is what I'm talking about!!! I just bought a Remington 700 Magpul in 260 Remington. I'm resizing my 243 brass for it and useing 140 gr Hornady SST over H4350.
Thank you for making this video! I like how you talk about taking good ethical shots, and that you are making sure your equipment (and your skill-level) is upp for the task. There are so many videos out with bad shooters spraying their pray with inaccurate bullets.
I put out corn in my backyard here in Waco, TX. Two bucks and 5 does are regular visitors now. If HEB goes offline, than a suppressed 300 Blackout will work. (In city limits so now I just shoot them with my camera.)
When do or how do you send your freedom seed? Do you float the cross hairs to the bull or do you hold dead then send it? Sorry for the stupid question.😳🤔😂
Have to say your hunting ethics are extremely credible no deer were harmed during the making of this video( maybe next maybe not) I will still watch to the end regardless.
It's only an unethical shot when the shooters doesn't practice at the same distances that they attempt shots on an animal. When I say practice I also include someone that has practiced enough to be able to make accurate wind calls to keep the freedom seeds in the vital area. Everyone forgets about practicing wind calls for hunting purposes. So many times I've seen video of people gut shooting deer at 500 yards cause they can't call the wind conditions. There was a video out there of some moron hitting a deer in the hip at 550 yards, and they never once mentioned anything about calling the wind, and it was clearly windy. I think they took the video down cause I can't find it right now. With your obvious shooting skills though I'm confident that you'd make very accurate wind calls and hits at much greater ranges than most.
it may not make a difference at longer range but keep in mind that whitetail deer's vision is more sensitive towards the blue end of the color spectrum, for short range you'd be better off wearing nothing but blaze orange than anything blue.
I asked a Navy Seal sniper who also hunts, what is the longest range he would take a shot at on a mule deer. He said 300 yards, but he would try to get within 200. But his furthest was 596 with a .300 WinMag. Nobody can picture that but now I kind of can.
@@dhuber4951 I would agree with you 95% of the time but it all comes down to shot placement and I’m 99.9% sure he’s going to put it through the pump house so bullet construction doesn’t really matter in this instance.
I have no doubt that you will put down what ever you shoot, but do you use your target bullets or hunting bullets with a different load? Your thoughts?
@@ErikCortina Well, you'll do all of that I am sure with that Boom Stick. As and aside, I wonder if Pro Shooter would buy average Joe hunting rifle (and cartridge like a .270 Win) of his choice and bench mark it with average Joe hunting ammo off the shelve - then work his incessance and magic (candles required) to and see just how much he could squeeze out of it. All of course, with the average Joe hunter in mind.
