LOT 101 AMS SNOOPY
AMS Snoopy is a rising 3 year old, medium framed, Border Collie male, with plenty of pedigree behind him. He’s is by the 2022 Australian open cattle dog champion and the 2019 Australian novice cattle dog champion, Craiglea Seth. He is out of Triple C Evie, whose sire was the 2018 QLD open champion, Bauers Trip, and dam was the 2018 QLD novice champion, Triple C Lucy.
Snoopy has done all aspects of mustering work throughout Northern NSW and central QLD. He has been worked on foot, horse, bike and buggy, but does his best work when being worked off horseback. Has covered it all from larger mobs of cattle back down to smaller mobs. Has experience in weaner breaking, dry cattle and cow and calf work. Although is more suited to weaner breaking, but will still handle those cow and calf jobs with ease. He is better suited to a team but will still work by himself (as seen in the videos).
Snoopy is a silent worker with a little heel and nose bite, has good eye and natural balance, has good coverage on a mob and is very respectful of the stock. He has a stop and basic side commands, although is a little one sided. He’s an easy soft minded dog to control with a really good call back.
More suited to balancing up and bringing the stock but can also be used on the tail to drive and push stock.
Snoopy isn’t polished up or fine tuned but is the kind of dog you can take to work every day, and is happy to be there and do his job. He’s an easy well mannered dog to have around camp.
