Love the Tour Edge line. I've been waiting for someone to review their more affordable line. AWESOME review and information as always Sir. BTW would love to see you get the McGregor MacTex adjustable driver ($149) as a cheap driver for us beginners
Absolutely love Tour Edge stuff. The value to quality proposition is way, way up there...and they're made in the USA (if that kind of thing is important to you). The only clubs in my bag that aren't Tour Edge are my driver (PXG Gen 4) & my 60° (which I'll probably be replacing soon honestly). I game the Hot Launch C522 irons right now & they are great! The value in the Hot Launch series is fantastic in general. Also, I just bought certified pre-owned Exotics E722 3w (16°) for $99, an E722 3h (19°) for $79 & a C722 5h (23°) for $79 as well. All looked basically brand new. The 3w & 5h came with a Ventus Blue shift & the 3h with KBS Tour Hybrid shift. Insane value & they feel fantastic!
Right there with you. The only clubs in my bag right now that aren't Tour Edge are my 56* and 60* Alien wedges and my putter. Driver E523, 3W 5W, 4H 5H, 6-9, PW AW all Tour Edge E522 or E523. Really excellent stuff and the entire bag was probably $1000.
Tour edge is so slept on for their quality. I try to keep up with the tech, and every review I’ve seen with tour edge goes like “it’s really really good” “outperformed the brand I’m using” “feels really good” Followed by “I don’t think I’m putting it in the bag over my (insert brand)”.
You should compare this to a 2 to 3 Years Driver (Used) Something like Callaway Rogue ST MAX or Stealth 1 Driver.. Pricing would be close to this New Driver. Also how does it compare to the Kirkland Driver.
I was going to say, last year I picked up a Cobra RadSpeed (10.5 adj, regular flex, Fujikura Motore X F3 shaft) for $240 - brand new. You don't even have to compare it to a used driver.
Great vid. Love that you give attention to the more budget options. These are wonderful for those who are just getting into golf, but don't want the package set or for those who simply cannot bear the huge costs of the "premiums" nowadays. Hey. May want to adjust your graphic. You present ball speed and still have RPM as your units. Must have replaced ball spin. 😂 keep up the great vids. Keep showing all the wonderful options out there!
I'm still a Tour Edge fan, and this driver was a surprise. Also, I think this is the first year in a while that they did not release a new Exotics driver, which is a surprise too. Enjoyable video Gabe!
Great review Gabe. You were hitting the ball very well (especially for a cool and dewey morning). Just a thought - I know this is supposed to be about this club, but especially on "good swinging days" it might be nice to hit a few with your current gamer to compare the budget club vs your own. I love when you do all the contests, and not saying hit as many with both clubs (keep the focus on the one you are reviewing). But for me it would help if you had something of a control club in the reviews.
Since you are my GO-TO Golf man on RUclips I took your advice on the Brava shaft. I went with Malby's Flagship Driver Head , the KE4 TC PRO. It's has an adjustable loft and a set of interchangeable tungsten head weights to choose from. It's on it's way to AJ from Elie Fit as soon as the shaft arrives. Love to see you review the TC PRO!
@@obxarms7685was hoping to maybe get mine to Gabe at some point but he's slammed so that may not happen. FYI I just built their adjustable 7 wood and PTM-4 putter. World class stuff for sure!
It really is world class stuff. They just have that old school American pride manufacturing business model. Very rare these days. Good luck with the new clubs!! I'm looking at maybe a hybrid next! @@AZstu324

Huge Tour Edge guy here currently using the C723. I was surprised they took alot of the tech from the exotics into the hot launch. That makes it a crazy great deal. On that note, I would love to see you do a comparison of the 524 with a driver like the Kirkland Signature.
@@LetsPlayThru I’m not surprised since I know first hand the quality of Tour Edge clubs. Hopefully the 524 can generate more eyes towards the brand as they are extremely underrated.
Gabe I just noticed they have a C524 driver as well with carbon on the bottom as well as the ridgeback. Curious how that preforms compared to the E524. Same price as well
I have a c721 3 wood with a ventus red and it is a monster. TE is so underrated because it's backed and perceived to be geared towards seniors but I'm in my 30s and I just haven't found a better one.
I have a hot launch 3 wood. It was better than my Taylormade. I liked it more because it was lower to the ground and much easier go get under the ball.
Switched to Tour Edge C722 irons outstanding. Use Your Edge E522 3wood and 7wood. As a 60 yrs old 20 handicapper these clubs are helping me play better golf. Played ping G5 irons for years and a ping hybrid plus a ping 5wood. The Tour Edge price and playability are a winning combination. Cheers
Nice job. Interesting. Not in the market for driver. Always fun to see them and how all perform. Best IMO was for about $149 back in 2021, the PXG 0211. And it had loft adjustability. Evenflow Riptide Blue CB shaft. Can still find them used for $100+
I have the Tour edge exoitc 3 wd and I installed a Fiber Speed fiberglass stiff shaft and it is the best 3wd i have ever hit. I will have to try out this driver.
Massive tour edge fan here amongst other brands. Just won the tour edge exotics exs pro forged blades band new in a eBay auction for $275 because no one bid on them. Absolutely stunning irons. Little busy logo wise on the back but design, feel and performance is stunning.
Whats up Gabe I am in the market for a lower level fairway wood. The Cleveland Halo was too big. I was unable to compress the ball. What do you recommend?
Really solid club. I wonder how it compares to the Callaway Mavrick, which was $249 last year. I tried the Mavrick and it was super easy to hit straight, but 10+ yds behind my TSR3. The spin was too high, which is always an issue for me. I would like if companies would offer forgiving drivers in lower lofts like 8 degrees.
This series has been an improvement but the colors they use for their hot launch and the logos do give off a cheapness, as does the name and headcover, but the heads are solid. They just needed to lessen the colors and this is a much improved version of the last hot launch series with all the red. Great review as someone who still plays the EXS pro driver.
Great review, where did you pick this up at? Anything else interesting from tour edge worth checking out? Where did you shoot this at? I live in the area and am always interested to hear where you're tee'n it up.
Loving the review, I’d be curious as to how long it goes when weather is warm, fits right into my budget though over the big names based on performance and price plus driver length of 45”
Looks like they are moving the exotics technology down to the hot launch line as they are releasing the exotic 725. I am curious if the same technology is being passed to their irons.
At $250, would you choose the C524 over the Callaway Mavrik 10.5? Some other options at the same price are the Cobra LTDx, Cobra Radspeed XB, and the Taylormade Sim2 max? I am still beginner / high handicapper looking to upgrade the driver in my starter set.
Tour Edge irons are like this driver. They will surprise you . I played some earlier this year the HL4 model and was pleasantly surprised. They had a little more offset than I like and a thicker top line but they felt great and were duper easy to hit with excellent distance. You don't have to break the bank to have a nice new set of golf gear. Give Tour Edge equipment a try !
Gabe, the hybrids are selling for £121 here in the UK. That's just unbelievable. My new Qu10 hybrid was £239. My only issue is availability. Seems it's a product sold and marketed more to the American audience. Those distances you were getting with the driver l would be more than happy with that.
I always find the looks and sound discussions so funny. I have a Tour Edge C522 hybrid that I smoke. Does it look a little cheap? Yeah. Does the ball care? It hasn’t seemed to yet
I've admittedly been going through the iron videos lately and not the driver archives, but the tracer traces really looked great- better than on a lot of vids, anyway. Having a 10.5 model would have been interesting. It sure looked like a fairway finder at the very least.
The swing is on point in this video.!!! Curious if you have tested the carry distance VS what the garmin thinks it should be? My guess would be you are carrying it further than what it says because 45 yd of roll is a lot. Especially in Florida. I would love to see that test.!!!!
Fantastic review and video. I LOVE the Price. Your game is almost identical to mine. I think that is a compliment for you. 😂. Always awesome and honest.
Impressive. A few years ago I owned the tour edge exotics C721 driver it performed very well. I just couldn’t get used to the top of it…kind of looked like a Spider-Man blackeye. Just not my cup of tea. But they do have a great product and it does definitely kill it. And the price is unreal
Tour Edge is the most underrated brand in golf. I believe their large name plastered on their clubs hurts their brand. Lifetime warranty is unbeatable.
Tour edge is and has been a great product just don’t spend the $$$ on advertising . Years ago almost every set was fitted . Now they sell standard sets (for the most part). I wish they fitted again.I think you would get more better players playing these clubs regularly if they had more fitting stations and or more demo days where you could get a professional fitting .
I hit a Tour Edge driver at the golf show last year, and it sounded SO bad and SO high pitch, there's no way i could play it. I can't remember the model, i want to say it was the C522 but i honestly can't remember
Hold on. Carry on that last one of the first set of balls was 231 but total distance was 280?? 49 yards of roll on that wet fairway?? Something doesn't seem right there.
The video gives the impression that the face has very minimal bulge and roll. Looks extremely flat. Can you confirm that? Otherwise, great review Gabe.
