I own this guitar and its quality is amazing. I have only changed the saddles and pick ups so far, maybe in the near future i'll do the same with the fine tuners but overall with that update the "floyd special" is solid, don't have too much problems about tunning with it.
The trouble with the Floyd Rose "Special', is it's not very special!!! Zinc trem block (easily replaced, it's true), and saddles which can be prone to cracking especially if you overtighten the locking bolts. Personally I keep away from them, because there is too much to upgrade to make them usable for me. Guitars like this at this price point should really be getting at least the '1000 series' floyd which have steel saddles and a brass block, which is much, much better. I suppose they do it to save money, but the build quality of a tremolo is quite important to the actual playability of the guitar!
Dave! Man, it looks like you are going for the part of Theoden, or a beefy Gandalf, in the remake of Lord of The Rings! (0:15) Got a good Viking look goin on! Thanks, by the way, for all the good info you've shared, especially about IronGear. Not as good a deal from the US as UK due to shipping, but loving the Rolling Mills. Thanks again for the hard work editing and Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Your video quality rocks big time, looking marvelous Mr. Dave
Cool looking forward to put 2
Look forward to a part II. Looks great. Hope you got a good deal on it brother.
Good advice Dave, greetings from the states!

I agree active electronics put me off for some reason, looks like a decent instrument though

Best wishes, azov fanboy :).
I'd wanna dye that fretboard - it's very light
Yes, lemon oil, just keep loading it on. After a few gigs its gonna go darker :)
That fret board needs some drink!
