@Wandering Man Absolutely. That lake stinks from a mile away. Bangalore and most of urban India is ruined by a combination of terrible things primary being human greed.
Nope. The owner is a very down to earth person. Definitely earned every penny through his hard work. And btw, the land in bellandur was dead cheap before the IT boom.
Architecturereally speaking, this is fabulous but it doesn't look like a home. It's more like some five star super deluxe boutique hotel or some upscale niche club where people go to spend their weekend. These buildings are aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but they lack the warmth of the home. Maybe rich people these days want to reside in clubs and hotels rather than homes! That's why they want their homes to look and feel like those posh hotels. Personally speaking, I do admire the beauty of the architecture and the skills and imaginations of our new age Indian architects. But I would not like to live in such a place. People may say that I might not have the capacity and the audacity to live in such a place. I do admit that I don't. I live in an old house which is ok for our requirements. The furniture that we have and use are old too. But they do meet their purpose. Still I would love to say that people who visit our home do appreciate our aesthetics and can feel the warmth at our place. A house doesn't necessarily become a home due to its architecture or its design or its furniture. A house becomes a home because of the warmth and love of its occupants. Thanks for these wonderful insightful videos.
I guess they (the owners of such residences) seek the warmth only from a part of the house (say the study, bedroom and a private balcony). The other parts of the house are built to entertain and even enthrall, much like an upscale club.
There is an unknown warmthness in old houses...I am 20 years old and I live in an apartment which is bought by my parents a few year ago...that means i didn't live in an very old house. But unknowingly old homes always attracts me... whenever I feel that I would have a home, firth thought came in mind is about old homes...the use of wood, and stones makes a great combination..!!!
I do agree with you to some extent. The architecture of this house is amazingly done, but not the furniture and those cheap paintings. I think you can do so much better with this house with better decors, art pieces and furniture.
Guess which is more beautiful than this one?.... Paddy field. As a designer or architect, you should embrace nature. Agri land is a gift. So try to embrace it rather than altering it. I have to admit that this one is beautiful and smart. Falling water is a great example to embrace nature. This would have been a perfect one if built somewhere else.
Thats cool...bt i think most of ur viewers are from middle class families like me who don't have that much money and place to build that kind of massive mansion. Please show us sme budget houses with small plots.that would be gr8 for us. Btw, u guys are doing fab job.
You are not here for sq ft of the project, you should come here for the design, plan and concepts that the architect is using. You can use the same in 30000 sq yrd house and you can use them similarly in a 300 sq yrd house.
@@ronniealberts5083 No you can't. The implementation of these ideas and concepts of free flow, greenery and all of whatever design elements they say takes a lot of money and space. These limitations form an essential part of the concept. The projects that they show do not show a constraint on that (even if there was one). Real creativity is when such concepts are built frugally where there is time and space constraint. If you give me a massive plot of land and an extensive reserve of cash, even I with no experience in Architecture can probably come out with half decent designs.

The bellandur lake is huge n not all of it is smelling, I also thought about the smell initially but then checked Google maps and saw parts of it are really beautiful
Great design! I have a problem with the presentation though. The lady when she uses the words client and owner wrt this project wants to give us the impression that the house is someone else’s .The fact is, this is the architect couple’s own house. That’s insincerity !
Nice property. The project is more than a decade old, which partly explains why wasn't a walk-through video shot---it was much less in demand back then. Unfortunately, Bellandur lake is not in a good shape; just type the word in google search.
Have you followed NGT order of leaving up to 30 meters from lake? Well, of course with corrupt BBMP anything is possible in Bangalore. Please show project approval papers.
Gayathti and namith are good architects. But they dont entertain new entrepreneurs and very difficult to meet any responsible architects who can listen to your desire of business prospects.
I have one doubt. I would be thankful if someone clear my quest, If we made too much of water body like this house presentations, 1. Is it hard to maintenance? 2. Does it attract pest and mosquitos to breed? 3. Will it a good idea to have at the center of the home (water courtyard)?
It's maintenance is hard. Especially if it's not one with any water flow. I had been to a villa where something was made but not in use. The owner told us she has permanently switched it off due to the mosquito menace

10:40 she refer to the water with a texture of wood essence in it !!! let me rephrase it !!! its the foam party the owners threw the other day !! :D
not to mention the infestation of mosquito's by all of Bangalore's lakes
C'mon nigga...they not gonna swim in or drink dat water...
I like the way you presented it - "centre of the city" - "beautiful lake" :).
By the way both of which are utterly false.
Forget project cost, the location itself is priceless
