The screeching sound? I think the airport makes this a special circumstance - in that (1) it's the end of the line; and (2) every train needs to be almost precisely at the buffer, which stops them at the end of the track near the station agent booth and international terminal. A nice, slow arrival allows for trains to ease their way into the platform and into their designated position.
Yeah, BART moved 1220 to the Pittsburg/Bay Point-SFO line, I believe, sometime earlier this year. For awhile it was on the test track at the Hayward maintenance facility.
Have you seen the following A cars at Hayward Maintenance yard before: 1219, 1256, 1258, and 1228? As far as I've seen whilst joyriding, 1228 has been there for a long time and has not moved an inch. I don't know what the cause of this can be and what yard it belongs to. 1219 just got released yesterday after they fitted that A car with new seats on board, bringing it back to the Richmond yard.
Yeah, 1228 has been there for the past couple months, and is part of the Richmond-Fremont, Fremont-Daly City and Richmond-Millbrae lines. 1219 actually was just recently used for the groundbreaking of the new BART extension in Milpitas.
You rode on Car 1220. In some parts of it, it says it's part of the Richmond maintenance facility. I thought they moved Car 1220 to the Concord yard for good, because I have only seen it do rounds of it on the Bay Point line.
I really would like to see the new cars have multiple windows in between the doors and on the ends of the cars. As well as a few horizontal stripes across them. I feel the cars would look for modernly sleek. Bombardier should make the cars look almost identical to the London Underground S stock. Multiple windows would blend in well with both the urban and suburban setting vs one window whcih I feel would blend in well with just the urban setting.
Yeah, that's why they had the thing under that A car. I have no idea when they are gonna move that out of the yard and use it on certain lines. Hopefully sometime.

The best part of this segment is between Daily City and Colma switching the tracks.

OMG an empty bart train in the day time? This is the twilight zone.

Thank you for the response

I'm glad I'm keeping my feet clean and healthy. AMEN.
The speaker on this train sounds a lot better than the ones on some of the other legacy trains. What car model is this?
Is there a reason why the Bart train makes that arriving sound longer when it arrives at SFO?
Wow nice bart

@gps guru , they have new train cars this year on Bart
Nice to see the rail screech is as bad as it ever was. Kept the cell-phone yakkers under control.
Maybe something to do with the broad track gauge BART uses.
@@evanstonbalce9588 its Indian Broad gauge
