As someone who lived through that particularly ignorant fad and adult obsession, probably not. Just still bitter they didn't get every one they really wanted and "deserved to own"..... I knew multiple adults that rode this trend. Still don't get it!
I never watched an episode of the original tv show, 90210, but I DID have a picture of Shannon in a miniskirt and boots on the fridge. My wife didn't mind.😅
They actually thought they were going to be collectors items, that were worth a fortune. The fighting at McDonald’s over Beanie Babies was almost as brutal as the wars in the shopping malls over Cabbage Patch Dolls, in the mid 80’s. Absolutely ridiculous to fight over toys. Grown adults fighting over Happy Meal toys, is kinda ironic. People would buy the meals and throw them in the trash, so I remember that McDonald’s found a way to offset that.. I think the meals went to charity and the buyers kept the toy.
@@daynasafranek7807 I was working at a department store in a mall during the beanie baby craze, and I went out to McDonald's and the food court one morning to get some coffee, and had to wait behind all the old mallwalker bats who were getting as many happy meals at a time as they were allowed to, taking the beanie babies out of them, throwing away the food, and getting back in line. I mentioned to them that the least they could do would be to keep the food and give it to people who needed it, and they all gave me a hateful look and told me to shut up and mind my own business. It was at that moment that I stopped caring about the future of the country.
At the time, they would have been argued to be assets. Those perceived to be more rare, could fetch a pretty penny. Hope they sold them before they lost all their value.
That was German actress Karin Dor. She had a role as a bad Bond Girl in the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice" (1967) ( of which this picture is obviouly a promotion photo, because that was actually her only movie role, where she had her hair red-colored, by nature she was actually dark haired ) and the female main part in Hitchcock's "Topaze" (1969). She died in 2017 at the age of 79.
I think you’re confusing Lisa Marie with Priscilla. The picture is of Priscilla who married Elvis. And unfortunately, Lisa Marie passed away relatively young.
Elvis was crazy not to love Priscilla after she gave birth to Lisa. Elvis said he couldn’t sleep with a woman who had a child and gave birth to.! That’s disgusting 🤮 of him..
@@thomdrolet2624 After a bit more research, you are right about the game currently being played on the board. But crokinole boards don't have pockets. So, I suspect the board is multi-purpose, and the pockets are just like all carrom boards I have played with as a child. You can see all but one pocket is covered, the one facing the camera. These games aren't patented, so anyone can make and sell a board of any kind. I have seen those too.
The first photo of the two men and the young lady, is I think, a composite AI. The men's suits are too old fashion for the time of the mini. The homberg hats are antiquated.
The businessmen shot is completely fake or possibly a scene from a film. I mean look at those two men! bowler hats at jaunty angles and suits that don't fit the style. Certainly not English businessman. But they've got English bowler hats are they American businessman?? You tell me. I think the photo is a fake
A discussion about business was the last thing on the minds of those two business men.
by the style of the 2 men i thought this picture was taken in the 1950's
And that's probably Roger Ailes
Shannon Doherty, who recently passed away.
Wasn't she beautiful? So sad that she lost her life so young, especially when she fought it for so many years. May she rest in peace.
@@festivelady826, she was the soul of 90210.

They don't feel stupid.
@@mistermaleebs3916 they are worth about the same .50¢ they always were... Lol at least that's my hope anyway...
I can't figure out what y'all are talking about.
I think the chimp did the hypnotizing. It also has a better haircut.
M.M. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. 💋
Beautiful German actress Karin Dor from “You Only Live Twice” at beginning of clip.
I could never understand the beanie baby craze of the 90s.
Drove me nuts too-that and the freaky Cabbage Patch dolls mania.
and now the beanie babies are found in countless thrift stores and all over ebay with unscrupulous prices for these dust collectors.
I loved the Shannon photo. Loved her n Little House & Father Murphy.
Shannen Doherty may she rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️
MR.ECK SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR BODY. SEE YOU LOOKED HAPPY . RIP 🙏
Love that 1920s fashion photo. Hard to imagine that was taken around 100 years ago.
Shannon Doherty she is my favorite

I watched her when she played in Charmed
Can you imagine being a judge and having to preside over two children fighting over toys.

Lord lord Priscilla is straight up gorgeous
Looks like she's packing some heat too?
They aint discussing business. They were discussing "business" 😂😂
Indeed I'm shocked. That anybody would think that these photos would shock anyone.
The divorce proceeding with the dividing of the beanie babies? Glad they didnt have children then .
At the time, they would have been argued to be assets. Those perceived to be more rare, could fetch a pretty penny. Hope they sold them before they lost all their value.
Dividing up the children: “Which half of Junior do you want? Upper or lower?”
Amazing pictures

I think the photo with the two men and the secretary was staged for an advert?
I don't know, but in 1974 I had a dress exactly like hers, except it was navy blue - lol.

The guy trying to hypnotize the chimp is priceless. So is the Bond girl at the beginning. I forgot her name. She was the hottest bond girl of all.
Not shocked let alone socked😂
Actor Johnny Eck had underdeveloped tiny legs that he stuffed up underneath his suit. I think he had a twin.
Thanks for the info. 👍
Based on that publicity photo, I wondered if all his internal organs to sustain life were intact.
Yes he did have a twin brother who did not have any underdeveloped condition.
The game table is Carrom.
