The Toy Archaeologists search for the hidden gems in the near-infinite layers of entertainment devices over the years. Whether it’s brushing the dust off of board games, chipping the gunk from figurines, or restoring interesting trinkets, the Archaeologists will bring forgotten or nostalgic things to the present day in all their glory or infamy. I remember this game. By the way, this version of Candyland released in the same year my parents got married.
Like ,same omg 🥳
Played this game with 2 of my nephews many years ago.
I can still hear the way they used to giggle when I'd get stuck in the Molasses Swamp or one of the other traps.
There are essentially two eras of Candy Land: Pre and Post-1984. Before '84, there were no characters and the goal was to get to a gingerbread house (also the board could be a lot longer depending on how old the edition was). Beginning with the 1984 CandyLand, the goal is the castle.
Thanks for the info!
