i am so glad that multiple countries took part of this space station. just a demonstration of countries that can unite together to achieve something magnificent
Space is a vacuum, so no pressure.. I think the only thing that could break it would be a meteorite or debris. But I'm sure they have procedures to dodge incoming debris so she's pretty safe.
Well, technically it's still "on Earth". Do you consider yourself "not on Earth" when you're flying 35,000 ft in an airplane? The ISS is still in Earth's atmosphere. Earth's atmosphere, as observed by SOHO (Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) extends as far as 391,000 miles, which makes the ISS a high altitude aircraft. Also puts the Moon in the outer part of Earth's atmosphere. Exciting stuff!
@@everydaycosmonaut7637 "Earth ends at the Karman line"? The Karman line is an old attempt to define where "Earth ends and space begins", that's not a literal explanation, rather it deals with the orbital mechanics of flight and to determine laws in regards to satellites and powered flight. However, if you really believe that the Karman line is the far edge of Earth and it's atmosphere then I'm sorry that you are so poorly informed. The Earth's atmosphere has many layers, Troposphere➡️ Stratosphere➡️ Mesosphere➡️ Thermosphere➡️ Exosphere➡️ and finally the last layer which merges with outer space, it's a cloud of hydrogen atoms and called the Geocorona and it extends up to 391,000 miles and the Moon flies through this part of the Atmosphere. The hydrogen cloud was mapped in the 1990s by NASA and ESA using the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO). In 2019, researches at Russia's Space Research Institute pulled the old SOHO data and the readings showed the Geocorona. This isn't up for debate, it's not a controversy or opinion based. You don't have to believe it, infact nothing in science requires "belief" of any kind. The facts will remain facts whether you decide to believe in them or not.
@Colecat0130 True, most of the time with those type of comments I don't even try to change that person's mind, it's moreso about other people who can read it and get accurate information.

That's a pretty cool video. I've always wanted to go to the international space station. I think when I grow up, that's what I'm gonna do. I like listening to these two because to me it is adventurous and it's also pretty curious to know where you're flying out over the Earth that's pretty cool😊
In the ISS all the walls have modules and equipment on, so there isn't really a sensation of up or down, since as soon as you face a different surface, your reference point changes.
Sunny,I hope theirs another opportunity for you to go visit the space station again. You were wonderful. You explained a lot. I would have picked you to go to Mars one day,if you liked. Sunny, good known you!
There is a thing which I can't remember what it's called. Basically, you take a modified passenger airplane and it just free falls to the ground and it gives you the 0 g feeling. pretty cool.
Nice ❤ It is not my first time i wach this video many many time but still i want to watch this nice video Proud of you sunny I wish i can catch you up one day sunny❤❤😊
When the camera pointed outside and she tried to tell where she was I saw the little 'cove' type thing where Africa was connected to the Middle East and I nearly flipped out of my chair when she said Africa :3
consider this: There's only one sun, but the ancient Egyptians believed it was being pushed by a giant beetle, the ancient Greeks believed it was a flaming chariot, the Vikings believed another thing, the Native Americans another, the tribes of Africa another. Perhaps there is a single supreme divine being, but the different cultures of the world interperted it in many different ways.
They should add a giant box to it that you can just fly around in Also what do you do if you smoke do you just not smoke or is there a certain way to do it
people always get it wrong, as there is gravity, but they don't feel it, because they are falling. like a falling elevator. except they don't end up on earth, because they travel sideways so fast, they allways miss the earth while falling to it. < also known as orbiting which you are all familiar with
Magnets do work in space, although I wouldn't want powerful magnets floating around interacting with Hard drives and other electrical equipment. If you mean combs ("Combes" was a french statesman) I would imagine that they don't do much, but they'd sort knots out. :P
I've been wondering, how does heating work on the station? A side question to that is, hot air rises here on Earth, so what does it do in space where there's no up?
Now I really want to go to space, but I'm worried about the side effects. I know that when you first enter the space station you start vomiting and you feel disoriented, and when you go back you can't walk straight...
why do i get all gitty when i see these kinda videos? i may not be a 'nerd' or 'geek' but dammit i wanna go live in space and experience no gravity.. it looks so god damn fun, even if you have to work... it would be awesome!
I wonder if "cupola" comes from russian word for dome? Some months ago I saw the space station in my telescope (it's easy to find as it reflects sunlight and shines a bit like a bright star, but moves far faster than any other star). I wonder if she was looking back from the cupola in that moment..?
i am so glad that multiple countries took part of this space station. just a demonstration of countries that can unite together to achieve something magnificent
Probably my favourite ISS video! The cupola view gets me every time.
"I'm coming down!" .... I can't even tell what up and down and left and right is anymore!
Seeing the rest of the station out the windows was really cool.
Ex, 😊
The cupula scares me. It seems so thin and creeky. If that breaks, she is dead.
Space is a vacuum, so no pressure.. I think the only thing that could break it would be a meteorite or debris. But I'm sure they have procedures to dodge incoming debris so she's pretty safe.
+Brighton Johnson I know still though
The "glass" on the Cupola is actually a reinforced polyurethane composite, and is several inches thick.
All true. You can see how many mirco impacts it had though, the glass really scratched up
@@MilesEdgeworth129 It also has very thick metal covers for all the windows which stay closed whenever the copula is not in use.
The ISS is a perfect example of what happens when nations work together, instead of fighting one another.
i think secretly they just mess around and do like 0G tricks when nobodys around, then pretend they have been doing sciencey stuff
Of course they are! What else are they doing up there all day?
I was just thinking that. Like in the morning they check the schedule and know when the cameras are out and the rest of the time is like jersey shore
That jet blackness of space against the blue of our plant is so striking...
if i was there i would spend most of the time in the cupola
Me 2😊
@@gehnasodhi9684at 1st it was fun but since you lived on earth you still find that confort where you live in

Memq luckiest people from earth 😏

The entire videos from ISS are so so cool 😮😮
Suni is awsome :)
She is not suni she is sunita Williams

Absolutely amazing!!! Proud of mankind again!

Four years later, she's part of the B Crew for SpaceX's Dragon mission! She'll be back in space soon!
Yeah you have covered pretty much all the bases there good job
Great video and great job Cdr. Suni! Really gives a taste of what it feels to be in space. Science is cool.
Amazing video, breathtaking view in the Cupula but OMG WHAT IS THAT CREAKING NOISE
I was about to ask it.. but I thought people may look at me wrong.. But you did it first! I'm eager to see if we get an answer now!
There is a thing which I can't remember what it's called. Basically, you take a modified passenger airplane and it just free falls to the ground and it gives you the 0 g feeling. pretty cool.
Looking foreword for the next bigger space station in 2020 or so.
OMG, Why doesnt this have millions of views!
Nice ❤

Such cool stuff!
Space got so much more better since RUclips......No more monotone documentaries.

You know what would be awesome? if someone would record the Decouple of the Capsules from the Cupola.
Awesome videos! What are all those bags in the corridors??
cupolaaa has my heart so amazing me watching this in year 2024..
much space. so amaze. wow
I'd love to be an astronaut and go to space. It looks so cool!!!
This is amazing.
It looks so fun!
I've been wondering... How were they able to get a camera footage outside of the station?
cool...great hair too ! ..awesome

What an awesome video.
Wow, Earth really is just a beautiful place.
Suni,great show case!
Thats really awesome! But I have a question, when you looking outside down to the erath, may there exist a problem with acrophobia?
Na, theres no such things as spiders from Mars..... ;o)
Dave George its arachnophobia, acrophobia is fear of heights...*cough*stupid*coughcough*
wulfgang xander It's a joke, an injected attempt of humour to put a smile on a face....cough*stupid*coughcough lol. British humour though.
That's why when the space shuttles days they do a gravity turn and also speeds up there velocity.
Holy crap talk about vertigo. And that creaking when they were in that box omg
Suni, do you ever get momentarily lost wandering around the space station with no up/down cues?
Envy.
they use GMT London time, as its in between Moscow and Florida... more or less, they say it on one of these videos but I don't recall which one
When she showed earth I literally cried.
I wonder if they ever have panic attacks and have to calm each other down? Like when they can't go home ?
I'm not doubting that ISS exists.
They should add a giant box to it that you can just fly around in Also what do you do if you smoke do you just not smoke or is there a certain way to do it
all those creeking noises would make me nervous. sort of OMG WE'RE GONNA IMPLODE nervous.

it's a shame that there are cat-videos out there that got more views than this magnificent clip...
Thanks for the info edward scissorhands
2:13 there was a © __© face
I know they have internet in ISS but how fast is the internet there?..
+Ihazjello I read a book where a guy said that if he sent an email the fastest he'd get an answer is the day after
+linasuperdina oh cool! Thanks
+Ihazjello i don't know if this is in the ISS too but i heard NASA has internet speeds with like 1000 TB per second (i heard it idk if it's true)
+Ihazjello i think its much faster than 24 hrs for an email lol. They videocall from there so its definitely faster
+krelshell4 yeah he wrote this book in 2006 I think
Im proud an Indian woman did it for our country 🇮🇳
THATS SO COOL!!!!!!!
I couldn't be bored of trying physic stuff in 0 gravity.
God, that must be so fun. :D
What do you do with the trash? Do you open a door for a second and let it get sucked out into space? Or do you save it and bring it back to earth?
Magnets do work in space, although I wouldn't want powerful magnets floating around interacting with Hard drives and other electrical equipment. If you mean combs ("Combes" was a french statesman) I would imagine that they don't do much, but they'd sort knots out. :P
At what exact height does space have no gravity? How much gravity is required to keep the moon exactly fixed in orbit?
I've been wondering, how does heating work on the station?
A side question to that is, hot air rises here on Earth, so what does it do in space where there's no up?
That would be so much fun I love science
Space looks fun
Who knew space could actually seem fun??
Daniela Bodoh everyone who loves science fact AND science fiction xD
You didn't think space was fun before this?!?!?!????? Whatt
What sort of work do you do on the station, I was thinking of going, but if the work is hard then I couldn't be bother.
That must be fun in space!!!
Mile High Club in space would be fun!
that was so coollllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Excellent
man this is fuking real!!!! soo coool!!! we have come so far as a species.
so so so cool!
How fast/slow your nails and hair grows. What about the wound or cut does it heal normally?
You don't. Fluids may float off somewhere. Unless of course they have a special chamber for that stuff.
astronaut is definitively not for me live in this lite room but is very cool to see.
Now I really want to go to space, but I'm worried about the side effects. I know that when you first enter the space station you start vomiting and you feel disoriented, and when you go back you can't walk straight...
zero gravity makes everything so much funner
How humbling it must be to be up there.
why do i get all gitty when i see these kinda videos? i may not be a 'nerd' or 'geek' but dammit i wanna go live in space and experience no gravity.. it looks so god damn fun, even if you have to work... it would be awesome!
Yes! I guessed the position was over northern Africa
She is so cool!!!
Do astronauts constantly fiddle with the thermostat on the ISS?
05:10 Fuck ladders, lets just fly up and down holes xD
The squeaking when she was in the coupula was stressing me the heck out.
I have been wondering about the size of our sun, is what we see the size we are told or even what it is said to be?
true but you're still experiencing wind resistance and everything. Which can be a bit annoying if you only want to feel weightless.
What happens when you get an open wound? Does the atmosphere in there have any effect?
When you get a hair cut what do you do with the hair and how do you get it from flying away
that's a cool looking planet we got
You can still tell which way is up when you're in water. It's not even close.

In my head while she was determining the location i was guessing Africa.
AMAZING, i loved the cupola :) i wonder if there's any video that shows how they land to the ISS, i haven't seen one yet
I wonder if 9 years later you wonder the same, since there are hundreds of videos showing the coupling of the Soyuz and SpaceX missions
cool....thanks for sharing..
When they approach the station with a space ship.
