If the Golden Globes could brush-off great movies like ‘Unbroken’ about World War II which denotes how some men who fought for our freedom ended their journey as prisoners in P.O.W. camps. We are talking about our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, great-uncles, brothers, nephews, sons, grandsons and a mother’s only child who went to fight for their ‘Homeland.’ A historical film showing what loved ones of the American families endured during this era. And, directed by a magnificent actress Angelina Jolie who always does a superb job in whatever platform she is on. I believe the Golden Globes needs some major changes in the way votes are generate and by whom. This is not sour grapes on my part---I have nothing to lose or gain. However, I do know when something is amiss when a great film that represents a time in America when its sons and daughters (nurses) were lost in a bloody war. Shame lies within the Golden Globes for allowing this voting to proceed without fiduciary intervention. And, that is my opinion for the moment.
Completely agree. Its really sad how much Hollywood wants to hide the stories and sacrifices of our war heroes, especially from a time and perspective where patriotism was so strong. I'm afraid thats almost gone nowadays.
I love his story and AJ's work. They are so humble yet effective in surviving difficulties.
So happy she's the director
she said she didnt eat much during filming because she wanted the prison actors to relate to her
