Relationships are tricky. They go in cycles. There is a strategic way to argue. People think arguing is bad, but it isn't. There is a healthy way to argue as well as a healthy way to make amends. People are right when they say, "sometimes, to take a step forward, you have to take a couple of steps back." I think you guys are going to be alright.
To be honest I believe she is going through postpartum depression. And she's slowly imploding her life. And you and the kids are collateral damage. I truly hope she seeks counseling for it. It's hard to deal with especially when you have to deal with it alone. Just be patient with her and give her the space she needs.
I could be so wrong but I feel like it was a blend of her going through postpartum and him not maybe knowing *how* to support her and her not knowing how to articulate what she needed or pinpoint it. So maybe he was solution-oriented but she wanted him to be a partner through the highs and lows of her personal struggle? Idk because I’ve never experience PPD. But I always felt like their issues just needed a therapist.

Bruv my wife and I were in that space where the arguments were toxic and we made it through it. We lived together in the same house but felt like were no longer together. We made it through those toxic arguments and now we are on course to being better than we were before. The longest lasting relationships of old have been to hell... Or I'll write him a letter he'll write me back one so we can say what we want uninterrupted without yelling/screaming. It's like a boiling pot you have to turn it down so it won't boil over but instead turn down the heat let it cool/simmer down so you can have more room to receive more without being so defensive and critical. We are so much better now.... really praying for you all! I'm a therapist but we all have things to work on. True love is patient, kind, is not rude, easily angered, it doesn't keep records of wrongs. It protects, trusts, hopes, preserveres. It NEVER FAILS! If it failed the cooks didn't follow the recipe. It's sad that in 2023, most women still have to explain what postpartum depression is and how hard it is to come back from it. My child is 3 and that journey was so long. I was battling that and working then dealing with other ppl who didn't understand because they "pushed through" or because they were too busy focusing on everything and everyone else. Then having anything intimate afterwards is like the hardest thing to do sometimes depending how childbirth affected you physically and/or mentally. Everything that was a problem to you b4 becomes an even bigger problem because it was never resolved so its more weight on our shoulders. How touch and smell affects you differently each time you give birth. It's not easy. Remember learning about this late and connecting all the dots from reports I heard as a kid. Thinking wow! Something like this would've been prevented if ppl were more educated on it sooner. Be patient, be empathetic, be helpful even if you think you aren't needed, kind even when its hard, and give yourself a break as well. Depression can swallow up anyone who's around at the time, so be all that to you too.

I was together for 11 years with somebody. We got a divorce two years ago and it still hurts. I miss him with all my heart still. Maybe one day so don’t ever stop trying if you love her.

It's sad that in 2023, most women still have to explain what postpartum depression is and how hard it is to come back from it. My child is 3 and that journey was so long. I was battling that and working then dealing with other ppl who didn't understand because they "pushed through" or because they were too busy focusing on everything and everyone else. Then having anything intimate afterwards is like the hardest thing to do sometimes depending how childbirth affected you physically and/or mentally. Everything that was a problem to you b4 becomes an even bigger problem because it was never resolved so its more weight on our shoulders. How touch and smell affects you differently each time you give birth. It's not easy. Remember learning about this late and connecting all the dots from reports I heard as a kid. Thinking wow! Something like this would've been prevented if ppl were more educated on it sooner. Be patient, be empathetic, be helpful even if you think you aren't needed, kind even when its hard, and give yourself a break as well. Depression can swallow up anyone who's around at the time, so be all that to you too.

Not trying to compare Josh and zashia but I really like Josh's reaction to their red table talk. Look Zashia reminds me so much me of my dark times. Josh I feel like you did lack on affection on her. She wants dates, she wants love, she wants commitment, she wants it all. I don’t think she is mentally stable though because if she is this emotional she must be going through postpartum depression and it comes in different ways. I feel like you didn’t know how to handle it, you didn’t know how to help, you guys didn’t communicate. This leads to so much arguments that it can get really disgusting and unhealthy for the children. I wish you both took counseling classes together and separate. Seek therapy, and look into more resources. Sometimes you need outside help in order to save your relationship. Breakup will not solve any issues. If you guys decide to never get together again I suggest you still do it for the benefit of the children.
