I think fragrance world liquid brun is supposed to be really close. Haven’t tried either of them yet though.
Glad someone said it. Other than being built around vanilla, they really don't smell the same. Althair has a soft spicy vibe that kind of ties it to Layton. I'm guessing that's the cardamom note.

Hmm, or is it the other way round? People over hype the niche fragrances, because they don't want to feel silly spending all that money on a perfume. Because no matter how nice it is, it's just a perfume, it's not going to heal you from your ailments or something. Or even make you more attractive, really.

I can smell the similarity but I think some people are nose blind to certain oils.

Club Black (apparently) has been reformulated and went from beast mode to skin scent. 🤷
Back when "Mercedes Benz select" was hyped as the Aventus cheaper alternative at the time -I became receptive to giving interest to other frags in Mercs range ...also bought a bottle of "club black" too -literally sprayed once & induced worst nauseous headache personally from a fragrance & those vanilla notes which bizarrely not agreeing with myself personally...(ended up giving away few hours after purchasing)
First time I tried Athair at Nordstrom ( on my skin ) I was like this is Mercedes Benz black in another bottle. Fast forward , I went back to Nordstrom to try some other stuffs and saw Athair on the shelf and I couldn’t resist to try again this time on my clothes. There are minor differences- Athair has some mintiness/ Spices that isn’t found in MBMB. The spice and vanilla is well balanced and makes it very yummy but overall it isn’t unique in anyway and I don’t really see Athair as an upgrade to MBMB.

Club Black is my favorite scent. I love vanilla and I've gotten more compliments on this scent than any other.

All I get from Club Black is Vanilla. That's it. Vanilla. No more, no less. It's a nice vanilla, but it doesn't project well on me and doesn't last very long, maybe 3-4 hours. Great for layering though. For a vanilla frag, Mancera Aoud Vanille is a love for me.
So imo.. when i first sprayed althair when I got it. The orange blossom and cinnamon was light and I mainly smelled the vanilla and wood accord. And that's Mainly OFF MY SKIN smell from club black.. but the more I wore it ( as the same with other frags) the other notes started to come out more. On my skin that orange blossom and vanilla shine in althair. As club black I mainly get vanilla. Both I like but I LOVE althair I love orange blossom and I'm glad it's dominant off my skin. These too aren't as similar as they say. Ide say if u mixed club black with armani code absolu OFF MY SKIN that's what althair smells like with hints on cinnamon. Again I love both have small similar notes and scents but are more different then the same.
Bro! I rocks with you for sure my dude! HOWEVER! it must be a nose thing because I immediately said oh shit this smells like that Benz joint I have. Which is why I didn't cop that PDM. I probably still will buy it but they do smell alike and I think the Benz is better, especially because of the prices.

Not the same. I the real question is which one do the ladies prefer. I let a female smell PDM last night and she said "ewww that smells like an old man". When she finally regained consciousness she said "why not just wear Creed". Not Aventus. Just creed. I never learn. Ladies hate mens fragrances guys.
Seems to be more women than men that like Althair in UK fragrance groups. My daughter has it and her friends love it too.

On my skin Althair smells like By the Fireplace but toned down and more projection
On the dry down on my skin it turns into a vanilla musk. Very nice 😊

I have both. Mercedes club back and Althair is in the same family but PDM much more refined. PDM Althair 10/10, MB Club Black 8/10.

They’re not the same at all. I don’t get it. The only thing is vanilla. I’d take club black over Althair though. Had it and sold it. (Fragrance is subjective 🤷🏾♂️)

I own MB Club Black and sampled Althair. They ARE the same on my skin. Maybe the performance is even better with MB Club Black lol
I 100% agree. Althair, & Mercedes are not clones of 1 another. I have both, & love both, but I don’t get the comparison.
I disagree I think they smell similar. I smelled Althair and it reminded me of something got home and sprayed Mercedes club black and I found a lot of similarities.
To me, Althair smells closer to Vanilla Woods by The 7 Virtues

Maybe ambroxen has a different effect on you at this point in your life, you've smelled a lot of stuff, club black might be performing on you better than you realize. 🤷
It smells similar to cheap ass Ted Lapidus Altamir. But I’m the only one I’ve seen make that comparison so maybe I’m crazy.
Smell is subjective. They both are similar to my nose
My nose also feels they are similar. I guess it’s a matter of results may vary.
Spectre Ghost is another vanilla beast and clone of Nishane Ani. And for the price I'll take that over Althair. Mercedes Benz Club Black is just a must have. Which is why it is sold out all the time. Facts.

I get like an hour of projection and 8 hours on skin but 6 of those are all skin scent with MBCB 🤷

I call BS CUBA, They are close enough that you don’t need to spend the mula on PDM, Once you make vanilla the star of the fragrance they smell basically the same, you musta got a phone call from PDM and they screamed HELP.
