Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and tips you've picked up a long the way. Your videos are incredibly well put together... I know the editing can take more time than the actual projects at times... Thank you for your efforts! 🤗
👏 These are all great ! I especially like both of the prong settings! Yesterday I pulled out my Amethyst teardrop cabochons thinking about creating charms for hoop earrings. Coincidence much that this is your tutorial topic today? 😄
hiya dont know what your thoughts are but i think the titanium solder pick far out ways the the old skinny ones, only had mine a short while but i have found a change already much better control easy pick up more accurate placing with it being that bit wider. and very sharp point for spot placing.
Hello! So your video already has a lot of views!! Great! I have a question about setting pear shaped cabochons in filigree wire. Yes, I'm embarrassed. I made the quickest setting in a long time, checking the fit all the way--then once it was done: cab wouldn't fit. Aaaagh. After that I kept melting any new versions. Do you find that a setting will "shrink" a tiny bit after soldering it? Thanks.
Hello S. Magdaleno. I have had other people talk about similar problems. Most of the time I haven't experienced that, but once in a while something I make seems tighter than it seemed at first. Perhaps there is something to that. Anybody else have this problem before? I always assumed when it happened to me I had just gotten overzealous on my filing:)
Hello Jo! I buy all my materials dead soft, so unless I’ve work hardened it significantly by bending or working in some other way, I don’t. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you so much
My pleasure Debbie! Thanks for the comment:)
I'm curious about your workshop. I believe that environment nurtures creativity and your's must be amazing because you are very creative.

Thanks Bojicasin!
😂great variety of techniques... you are the Bestest !
Thanks Rippy!
I really like all 3. I’m much better at bezel setting, than prong setting, but this is helpful because the two prong set designs are kind of midway.
Keep doing more prongs Van:). They get easier as you go!
It rained all day today!! I hope it helped Put out the fires!!
Yeah, it was pretty drizzly here as well!
I love seeing multiple settings for the same stone. Makes me open my mind and try to get more creative myself! Thank you.
You’re welcome Carol!
So many helpful tips! Love them all. 💜 Makes me wish I could afford to have 12 gauge silver hanging around. 😭
Silver has gotten pretty expensive!
Saving this to watch later, thanks for all the great tutorials!

Hello Albert! I am liking it as well. Something about it being flat like that makes it easier to control. Thanks for the comment:)

@@chadssilversmithing All I did was solder the filigree shape to the square wire. (Then twisted it up trying to make the cab fit heh heh.) Ok thank u
do you need to anneal the 12 gauge wires before you form the wires?

Thank you Lishal!
Those are pear Chad. Not marquis.
Did I accidentally say Marquise somewhere in the video? If I did, I apologize:)
