This GP actually stands out for NOT having freaks. Schilt, Teixeira, and Overeem all are good and technical kickboxers with good records in combat sports - really not the same thing as Sapp or Akebono or Choi.
That is what matters for the fighters. When I go watch a K1 tournament I like to see some exciting great fights. Badr can deliver that, Schilt not. He should focus more on MMA.
Badr Hari is a monster his speed his technique and now he got a powerful body in my opinion he will be the best k1 fighter ever if he stay healthy he is very young and already fought hundreds of fights

I think alistair is right, mma rules will be very hard for them without training, lebanner and semi tried it once they lost and they never came back... alistair has the potential to beat fedor now ,he is in a all new level....

I mean...look at what happened...it was a 1st round ko. what better proof could there be? sure, there are good strikers in mma. but in general I must say that k1 fighters have better striking and better kicks. which makes sense since they never spend time rolling around on the floor tryin to submit each other.
I know peter is an idol, but my personal favorite is remy, because a has something different than the others... he created his own style, and I'm not someone that immidiatly support the best, so i don't support peter cause he's chosen the best... But remy is also a k1 legend, He is 3 times wgp champ, wgp las vegas champ, and has alot more big titles... He beaten bob sapp, hong man choi, badr hari... Pure fight skill...
That a mma fighter is a good kickboxer is no surprise- its like a triathlete being a good biker- its part of his sport, he can do it. Lance Armstrong was a triathlete;)
alistiar overeem had already taked the test for steroids in 2007,2008,2009,2010 so you guys dont hate on him,he is the best fighter in the world for sure

For Remy's argument that Alistairs' win would be embarassing: He's a hardtraining and strong 260 pound guy that can actually afford fighting guys that are more concentrated on K1 than him and therefore more technical yet not as strong, because he's also an MMA fighter and I can understand how frustrating it could be for Remy to fight him. Yet it's cold hard reality that one doesn't have to be full time commited to K1 and K1 alone to be a champion, I think Remy could learn from him.
remy is jealous because he knows that alistair in one of the best mma fighter in the world, and he knows that he has the potential to win the whole tournament.
