Thx! I tried with Nulls a few times, but somehow it's more convenient for me to trim paths. Especially 'cause you can easily change the length of the path along the way.
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial, may I ask is there a way to let the path pass through the object, while the object stays still but shows the up and down or rotate angles movement as if the object is in focused in the motion, hahaha, just curious : )
You’re very welcome! Glad you liked it. I’m sure that’s possible. It would be a different kind of animation. If the object is in focus you need to simulate speed. Like objects flying by in the background for example. Otherwise it would be too static.
I am not against you brother but because of misleading thumbnail it wastes our time. I mean i thought you will show somewhere how to deform or wrap arrow along path that's why I clicked on the video
perfect man

Using the trim paths is quite clever! Thanks for sharing this. I usually use Trace Paths button in the Create Nulls from Paths panel.

Is there any way to edit the path for both object and line at same time without copy & pasting keyframes again and again?
You could use the property pick whip and link the properties together.
how to reverse the direction of movement along the path?
It depends... You could time-reverse the keyframes for example.
how have you got your selector to display those pastel colours?
I usually add a gradient ramp and choose two colors with not a lot of contrast. Like a cyan and a bright blue.
@@ManueldoesMotion your colour selector just looks a lot different to the standard Adobe one?
@@nil4309 I work with After Effects for Mac. Maybe it looks different on a PC?
@@ManueldoesMotion i use mac also, my colour picker has pretty much looked like this since 2012

what about rectangles
What do you mean? Rectangles along a path?
🥰🥰🥰
Thanks!
Please don't use Wrong thumbnail
Why is it wrong?
@@ManueldoesMotion because your thumbnail shows arrow is deforming but is the whole video you have not shown this anywhere
