I am a 68 year old man. I have watched and listened to Angelina’s videos hundreds of times. With most of them, I literally cry like a baby every time I hear them. The beauty and emotion she brings to her singing is astounding. The only other singer who brings me to tears like that is Frank Sinatra, but that is only on some of his recordings. I can’t wait until Angelina comes out with new material. I’ll have my tissues ready!

When you've travelled into AJ's wonderful universe, you're not likely to ever leave again. Wherever you go next in exploring AJ's work, you'll find a new gem - so you really can't go wrong. Living in Norway, I was lucky enough to experience AJ from her first introduction to the public in 2014. If I could choose now I would therefore start from the beginning and work my way from there. Her very best ( and everything she does is great) in my humble opinion is "I'm still holding out for you" I have heard everything she has done from day one, and this song was made for her. I play it over and over every night. She is magnificent. If she would have recorded this song it would have went Platinum, sold millions of copies, and established her as a legitimate "Super Star",and put her well on her way to becoming perhaps the best female vocalist on the planet alive today. It makes you cry. She put her heart, and soul, and that something special she always emits into this number. Hello there. No, she didn't win but who cares..... She is already a star. Every AGT performance looked like a concert. She was the focus and nothing else. You couldn't hear even a pindrop. Look how many viewers she has and you can easily understand why she didn't win even if probably she deserved it. It should be important even the fact she didn't sign any contract. As a matter of fact she has been invited and did an excellent job. Your reaction is great and most of all sincere. I love it. My suggestion? Bohemian Rhapsody was orphaned when Freddie Mercury passed away and has been in many foster homes until Angelina adopted it and made it her own. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was bored residing at its birthplace and wanted to to be with the younger generation, so it came to reside with Angelina. Way to go young lady. You’re going to need a bigger home to house all these songs that you made your own. Thank you for reacting to this song and keep up the good work.

The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. She took 2nd place by design, as she didn’t want to sign with Simon’s label. While she deeply respects him, she wanted more control over her artistic choices; has since signed with another studio. I’ve followed her over 5 years, now & have become a bona fide AJ-file! Enjoy her!

Related to AGT - Champions, Angelina was in the Final Top Ten, but she wasn't in the Top 5 (more or less considered the winners. You probably know that these tv shows has very dark procedures in its production, so in my personal opinion, producers were disrespectful to Angelina not puting her up to Top 5 , specially after the two masterpieces she gave to the show.
Anyway , Angelina's target wasn't to win something, but appearing in the USA with all her priceless quality and obviously she put a spell on millions of people worldwide. This was the target.

Angelina does her own arrangements, and tells the musicians how she wants the song done, and she does it her way. Angelina is not a singer. She is an artist that paints her masterpieceses, with her voice.
It's Jordan, not Johnson, easy mistake when you are just beginning to get to know her. She does her own arranging..always has since a very early age. Some call her a child prodigy, I go much further, she is a multi-generational talent, a genius, who has developed that enormous talent with her tremendous work ethic, studying her art, those who went before, Bessie Smith, Billy Holiday, Diana Washington, Etta James, as well as more recent generations like Amy Winehouse, Nora Jones, Adele, to learn their techniques and vocal styles as well as their songs. Simon required for her to sign an exclusive contract with his company, in order for her to win AGT, and she gave her answer with this song. If you look closely, you'll notice she is wearing a t-shirt with a picture of her as a child, when she won Norway GT. when she begins to sing, she gives him a glance and clearly he got the message, hence his stone cold face. Yellow brick road is a metaphor for a road of richness that I'm sure he (Simon) was proposing, and she obviously said no, so "Good bye Yellow Brick Road." Absolute genius.
