I've been saving for over a year, barely have enough for tires, much less a lift too. Some of us will never have the money to do what you've done no matter how long they try. So enjoy brother. Be thankful. And "thunk" is an actual word, I looked it up. Although I would never use it in a sentence. Breakin' the mold, good job mein freund.
I totally agree. I have had 37's on 17's on my 08' JK for over 3 years with a 4" lift and have yet to have an obstacle that I can't tackle. I've had arguments with people on 40's on if they "need" 40's. Sure, the extra clearance is nice, but they are not a "need" per se'.
My sentiments exactly, but I prefer to skip leg day, Black 19 four door Rubicon with 2.5 Mopar lift on 35s and I personally don't see nor feel the need to go up at this time. Lil Billy is doing just fine for me and pretty capable, at least for a daily driver and an occasional dirt road or mud puddle. Upgrades: Blacked out Flowmaster dual exhaust with chrome tips, Injen cold air intake, tires: 35 Nitto Grapplers Hybrids from Amazon, Black Matte Nerf side steps, Rugid Ridge reinforced spare tire carrier, LED spare wheel brake light, Rugid Ridge cargo mat with rear amp cut out. My final two upgrades will be the steel 3 part Mopar front bumper & WARN winch, and trust me, I plan to use the winch primarily to assist others lol. The Rubicon was deemed quite capable once I drove it off the lot, everything else is just for shits & giggles. I enjoy your work, keep it up & stay safe!!!
Great Video - To each his own - I originally went 35s now at 37s and I am glad I went 37s I have no desire at this point for a taller/wider tire. I too mainly do daily driving but I do go offroad once a month with my Jeep Club.
I ran 42's on my superduty and daily drove it. It also has 1 ton axles, so it kind out makes sense. Half tons and 40's is a recipe for disaster. You have valid points on this subject
this jeep is really really nice, something for the community to think about is JK and now JL are the most capable factory jeeps and ironically might be the last generation to drive open trails cause the ridicules sized tires they allow without much effort , in soft mud regions a 37in tire trench churn becomes an obstacle and are paving the road to off-road parks , did the Rubicon Trail on 33s in early wrangler - was exciting, terrifying and rewarding to make it to the end - with 40s you may as well set cruise control dont see the point.
I live in the desert so it makes since for me. Not everyone lives in an area where you can do any kind of crawling or off-roading. Don’t worry about other people, do what you want it’s your Jeep and your money.
I have a jku, and am perfectly happy with my 3” lift and 33”s. It looks perfectly proportional, as long as I don’t get high clearance fenders😂 If I was rich then I’d go all out like lite brite.
My gosh!😱....that color is absolutely gorgeous...when we bought our JL a few months back we almost got the green...until we seen the ocean blue!😘🚙stay safe my friend...happy trails to you!..💜💕🚙🚙
Running 35s with just a 2 1/2 inch teraflex spring and shocks lift. Granted I would be happy running 1 tons and 40s sometime ha. Congratulations on 10,000 subs man awesome! Sweet Jeep too! I can taste candy apple jolly ranchers looking at that green lol.
10K WooHoo. Yes the Jeep looks great! No your right you didn’t need 40s. Also you don’t need to change your axles either. If you don’t go hard core rock crawling, but I would change gears to help improve gas mileage. I ran 44s on my 1980 Toyota and 1978 CJ 7. Both stock axles. I did do a lot of hard core muddling. No broken axles. Your 38s are good. Looks good. Don’t let them get to you. Not everyone has to go bouncing off of rocks. Just keep doing what you want. It’s what you like. Now if every subscriber gave you $5. You should then replace your axles and go 42s and everything else. Hey that’s an idea. Start a go fund me. Love Ya keep up the good stuff.
Thanks! And no I do not, the lift was designed so that you do not have to *unless* you are doing hardcore offroading everyday 😂 that being said I will hopefully be changing to a different drive shaft in the future!
Bro you have maximized the Rubicon. Anyone that goes to 40's and axle swaps on a Rubicon wasted their money in my opinion. Better to buy a sport and do those upgrades if that's the intent. Anyway, great job on your build. I'm running 37's on a no lift JLUR for daily driving and light to medium off roading, no desire to beat it up on rocks. Many of us bought a Rubicon so we didn't have to do any upgrades to lift/axles/etc.
Hi Ben, Hope you can make a detailed video on the LED cube instal on the oem fog light harness. I’m about to do it but trying to figure out what the best way to do it would be. Keep up the awesome vids and thank you for the discount codes
Hey Ben... congrats on 10K mark. Totally agree with your logic ab your tires. I’ve been meaning to ask you were can I find the strip you have on your hood. I know it’s crazy with all the other mods you’ve done but I find myself always staring at it in every video.
Thanks! And yes! I was having the hardest time deciding between two and four doors.. sometimes I regret it. But other times I realize how nice it is to have all that cargo space! If I were to do it again I think I would do a 2door soft top though!
Ben I’d love to have a two door mojito rubicon. It’s just the wife and I and we’ve driven MINI Coopers for ten years so we’re used to smaller spaces. Need the hard top for security as I’m a photographer. Want to get further afield than the edge of the pavement. Thinking a 2.0 turbo might work.
Ben instead of putting those little cubes that are only about 3,000 lumens get the Baja Pro they look nice and they're 9800 lumens a pair. They are so bright they're sick you would have to put three pair of the little ones to get even close. I know you had two pair four little cubes that's just like 6,000 lumens and it doesn't look as good do the one on each side the Baja Pro and you can just do four screws and take off the lens and you put a Amber one on if you want or change it from spot to flood within minutes you can fix it all yourself I'm telling you go with Baja Pro little cubes are nothing you got a big old Jeep and you put those little bitty cubes doesn't look right
Must have skipped through the video, but I did say I mostly daily drive this Jeep, with occasional Offroading. I don’t need 38’s but it’s what I like, and the point was everyone should do what they want and not be shamed into getting giant tires they more than likely don’t need.
@@benanton2619 actually didn't skip the rambling. "Occasionally" goes off roading in your friends back yard and how mud is such a icky thing to wash off. You dont need much money for a lift. Good 2.5" coils 300.00. New shocks..200.00 - 550.00. Rear track bar bracket. And you're golden
Perfectly content on 35’s. Probably go to 37’s but no bigger for me. To eachs own!

Jeff Shapiro I do miss the days of 37s
Completely agree man. I have my 38s and am completely happy with them. Ride looks phenomenal! Keep it up bro!

“Making it look like My Jeep skipped leg day” Hahaha! 38s are the perfect size IMO!
jeeps with 37-40 inch tall tyres looks awesome. And they look monstrous too.

You’re fine on 37’s & 38’s.. You’re Jeep is very capable off-road w/ your setup & it looks great!
Run what you want! 👊 The Jeep looks awesome. Congrats on the 10k followers.
Bro, the 38’s with 4” is absolute perfection. 💯
Winning combo for sure. I'm saving for 35's and a 3.5". Worried it'll look like a roller skate. Cant afford re-gearing for 37's though.
Hakenkreuz bro get the 37s don’t even bother with the 35s. It’s not that bad.
Ben, congrats on achieving the 10k! Your videos nudged me into getting a Jeep last December, got a 2020 Punkin Orange Rubicon, love it!
My gosh!😱....that color is absolutely gorgeous...when we bought our JL a few months back we almost got the green...until we seen the ocean blue!😘🚙stay safe my friend...happy trails to you!..💜💕🚙🚙
Ocean blue is a good choice! Sad to say Mojito green is now discontinued, which is a shame because it is a beautiful color when the sun is out!
3 1/2” lift on 37” tires looks great in my opinion.

Congrats buddy on the 10k subs!! Mojito Jeep is looking freaking AWESOME 👏
Ben, In my opinion it is because of your honest and good content. Keep up the great work and I hope you get 10k more!

Ben, congrats on 10K! Love your jeep just the way it is. 38's look perfect with the 4" lift.
Props on the manual transmission. Only way to enjoy a jeep.
Looks great, i just put 37s on my jl and love them, but wouldnt mind 40’s 😂
With a 4in lift now will you have to change out the driveshaft? Congrats on the 10K👊🏼👊🏼

Did you regear for 38s, if yes what ratio do you have? Thanks for the nice videos
Not yet, I plan to regear this year, I will probably go 4.88
Good to know, please let us know what brand you will choose, thanks man
Looks great

What kind of fender flares do you have??
35’s work for me on my Rubicon Hard Rock jku with a 3.5 lift.
Congratulations on 10k Ben... keep it going. Love mojito, had you ever considered a two door rather than the four door?
Thanks! And yes! I was having the hardest time deciding between two and four doors.. sometimes I regret it. But other times I realize how nice it is to have all that cargo space! If I were to do it again I think I would do a 2door soft top though!

How do you like these Toyos Mts? I have Toyo RTs on my jeep at the moment
Agreed! I miss the day of 37s
love your vids bro. love building jeeps as well!
My wife says thanks for me spending so much money lol
Man. How you like that lift ? After seeing your video I’m on the fence about buying it

What time size can a 2007 jk rubicon go up to without axle swapping? Awesome video and congrats for the 10k subs
Depends on your lift size
Nice Jeep. Love that color! That’s dirty?🤣. What gears? I run 4.88s on 37s and I love it!
You don't even need 38s with the fact that you don't even go off road lol might as well put 22s with on 35s

How do you get sponsor by Road Armor? Do you just call them and ask and they can say no or yes or there is something that you have to do?

Great video mate👍
I appreciate it!
