why not just rest the body, like you would have done when writing CSS? setting html' font size to 62.5%, will allow you you easily convert pixel values (10px is now 1rem, simply move a decimal point). Another advantage of using rem is that, just changing the font % value for the html, you can now proportionally change font size everywhere.
Don't use rem use clamp()
