Pan Modak || पान मोदक || Neelam Ki Cooking Dairy

Modaka is an old and sweet dish that goes back centuries, as per culinary historian Darra Goldstein. Ayurveda, Ramayana, and Mahabharata all have early references to modakas, which are described as dumpling confectioneries filled with sweet fillings. Modakas are also mentioned in Sangam literature as rice dumplings with sweet stuffing that were sold by street vendors in the ancient city of Madurai.
