The one thing that has made me a much better player is to just play with confidence. In a 1v1 just know you are going to beat your man. When making a pass just know you will make a good one. Don’t have a cocky mentality but go into every scenario thinking that you will be successful. And the times when you aren’t just let it go and think that you’ll get it next time. Sounds weird but it works.
Very true, a lot of it’s about mindset. If you try something and it doesn’t come off don’t get disheartened and let it knock your confidence, keep believing. This is what Mbappe/Leao do
For real, i started playing at a late age football, at 15 years old, i was very bad, but as the time went, i started to get slightly better at it, I had a few very good plays on my own, and all I can remember about them is that I felt like a damn pro at the final of some important tournament before being so confident about trying to do that stuff.
To summarize Shooting:do a small last touch for better shots Receiving: do a fake run before you take the pass and turn back as to generate speed and fool defenders Passing: (idk this one well but I’ll try to describe it) when receiving a bumpy pass, to convert that into a clean one, pass your foot downward, in a stomping motion/attack the ball from the top and go downwards to make your pass clean for your teammate to receive it Dribbling: slow down near a defender, then burst into a sudden explosion of apples to pass the defender *hope it helps🎉*
Hey i need some advice, I’ve been playing 5 a side for a few years and have improved a lot as a player and want to start playing 11 a side. Strengths: -Decision making -Speed -Jumping -Athleticism -6’1 -Endurance -Mindset (aggressive, passionate, determined, win at all costs) -Defensive work rate -Tackling/Jockeying -Game iq (I understand what each player in an 11 a side team should be doing at each point in the game) -Reading danger (i often come and step in and make last ditch blocks or make interceptions when teammates are unaware of the danger or unable to do anything about it) -Pretty good vision (though i lack the technical ability to capitalise on it) -I generally understand the correct runs to make (however timing can be hit or miss) -Communication and leadership -Don’t really have ego, just want the team to win. -Generally perform my best and step up when the team really needs it, i perform best when i have a sense of responsibility to “drag the team through”. Unfortunately i usually only feel like this when i’m one of the best players in a team for reasons i’ll state later. Weaknesses: -Not the strongest as i’m quite skinny and can usually be pushed around by larger players -Not great technically, especially poor at dribbling so i avoid it mostly unless i see a clear opportunity or have open space that i can use my athleticism to drive into and beat players through power rather than footwork. First touch is decent but can be hit or miss if i’m not concentrating, i usually focus on playing easy balls and do quite well, mainly struggle with weight of pass and accuracy when trying to play harder balls. -Finishing is awful. -Heading ability is not good as i’m inexperienced due to there not being many in 5 a side matches, however i can usually win them through my height and jumping ability but accuracy and direction is quite poor. -Awareness and concentration can sometimes be hit or miss. -Sometimes can go in a downwards spiral when i make mistakes and lose confidence, leading me to play worse. However i have got much better at controlling this over the years. -My worst problem is my inferiority complex when playing with new players, especially good ones. This stems from being absolutely shit as a kid and being mocked. -Sometimes can be too aggressive trying to intercept or win the ball and can leave the team vulnerable. I want to play CB or holding midfield as i feel i have strong suits in both these roles, however my lack of strength and heading ability makes me think i could sometimes be a liability at CB as well as not having much experience in long passing. And although i’m a good ball winner and reader of the game and am good at making the right decision, knowing when to speed up or slow down play, and seeing a pass; i feel like my technical level would let me down at holding midfield (especially press resistance). I think maybe RB is my best position due to my defensive work rate, determination and endurance. Although i don’t have much experience crossing. My dream position is CDM as if i was technically secure i think i could really excel in this role, however i know this is probably a long shot and think i could realistically play CB and would really enjoy it i’m just worried about the strength and heading issue. I perhaps could play as a ball winning central midfielder who quickly lays the ball off to more technical players, i feel i could suit this role as i can cover a lot of ground in a match and eat ground quickly as well as having good tackling ability. My lack of shoulder to shoulder strength and heading ability could be hidden in this role as well as my technique. Let me know what you guys think i should do.
I'm am a 9 year old soccer player (girl) I've been playing for 6 years and my dad told me to watch youtube videos on how to get better at soccer and I was like ok! I have never scored a goal in my whole career well maybe twice and I've really wanted to score a goal so I watched these videos like my dad said! They do work!!
It depends on what position you play. If you’re a CM. Obviously your checking in with lots of space behind you. And if you’re playing properly you’ve already checked in to the general space. Then It’s just a short 2-3 step run away to draw the mid defending you away, to then cut back and ask for the ball. If it’s a big run away then yeah anyone would be confused lol
I'm 16 years old and I'll make sure to be playing in the 2026 fwc. I'll announce myself to the world and come back to see this message. And give unisport a big thank you 👌
Aim for 2030. The 2026 FWC qualifiers are already happening. Teams are being assembled for training. You’re a couple years too late. By 2030, you’ll be 23, and have had time to play at a Collegiate level and get scouted by Pro Teams in your area to show off to the whole nation
Bro I am a 14 year old boy. My school team picked me up for the tournament. After playing the practice match, I don't know what to do when I get the ball at my feet. I know some skills when I play at home I can do skills perfectly. But in match i can't do any skills. Please reply any one 🙏
To work on your dribbling It’s not just about dribble it’s about knowing where the space is when your about to dribble. Be aware of where your teammates are just in case their in better position or you just want to play a 1 two. And also be aware of where your opponents . Always scan the pitch and check your shoulders before receiving a ball . And if your nervous clench your fists throughout the game really helps
Heyy buddy. Some skills are pretty much useless in a match. Simple cuts and feints are the most efficient. Fundamentals are essential. You should def have a couple skills in your arsenal tho. Master them till you can't get them wrong. Learning when to use them will come with practice. Simulate match-like situations as much as you can whenever you train. On your toes all the time as if a defender is pressing you even when you're training alone
It depends on how you react to things, if you are instinctive then just be happy, clear your head and it will come naturally. If you are more effective when at full concentration then just try to stay focused. Skill and talent is important, but work rate, passion, dedication and positive commitment is more important than anything else

-Reading danger (i often come and step in and make last ditch blocks or make interceptions when teammates are unaware of the danger or unable to do anything about it)
-Pretty good vision (though i lack the technical ability to capitalise on it)
-I generally understand the correct runs to make (however timing can be hit or miss)

How not to confuse your teammates when you make false runs?
tell them before the match
Easy, right when you see them make contact/ right before they make contact start the fake run that way the ball is going the right fit
Make sure you do the fake run before he receives the ball
Or wait for him to have a have first touch then u do the fake run

But a problem i have with the
Passing is that the players i play with would get faked by my fake when i get the ball😂
What kind of skill can you use when somebody trying to get a ball from you❤
L drag
There's no one skill
It depends on the situation
What I would recommend is to not think of a skill just let it happen naturally
When you play on autopilot it is very effective
You should learn lots of skills so that it's all muscle memory
i’d say initially protect it with ur body. put ur body in between the opponent and the ball. search on yt to improve it
For me I create/mix skills to fit my situation and playstyle
I have Soccer game and we getting medals
