My last book was 'Miss Kim Knows' by Cho Nam-Joo and am now reading her other novel 'Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982' - so far it's a great read!

Encouraging to see another reviewing books in a personal way. Congrats on your successful reading month. At the moment, im halfway through the third book (Emperor of Thornes) of The Broken Empire trilogy by Mark Lawrence. Finish two Shakespeare plays; Hamlet and King Lear. Read alot of Robert Browning poetry. Particularly his 'Childe Rowland To The Dark Tower Came'. Ive started The Alchemist by Ben Jonson, while reading David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. And ever so slowly, reading through John Milton's Paradise Lost, while also coupling it with a set of chapters from Harold Bloom's 'Take Arms Against A Sea of Troubles'. Alot of them discuss Milton and his poetry and how much influence Shakespeare had on him. Very helpful resource. Then top it off with short stoires by Ivan Turgenev, Timothy Findley and Flannery O'Connor for desert. Happy reading.

Good reading month, Emma, sorry you had some disappointments. but I’m glad there were a few good ones. I’m enjoying what I’m reading, I definitely read a lot less than you, but that’s OK. I hope to increase my output this month. I’ve been reading more lately, so I’m happy about that. I love your journal! I think it’s a great idea to do that ranking graph at the end of each month. 😊
