SCstatic The way I see it the stuff on the radio isn't hip hop and rap. Its hip pop and crap. (feel free to use that in a song. lol).
The music industry will always appeal to the lowest common demoniator because its easier to say nothing of substance and "be catchy" then to have mad sick bars and pure poetry and have a message. Of course this doesnt mean every artist in the industry has nothing worth saying. But I think that is in spite of the industry. A lot of them are self made and the industry leeches off them. As was apparently the case with Michael Jackson.
Controversial music doesn't get put on the radio, you'd have to disguise the message

Never watched the music video, like that you use mid orange corrections, really fits with the themes of the album and they do got cool looking water towers.
I live right down the road from and we've filmed there before but never inside the actual prison. We did trespass but surprisingly nobody bothered us. Definitely took advantage of having a dope abandoned prison in our town and captured the vibe of the song/album. Thanks for watching. Yeah we're lucky to have an abandoned prison in our hometown. Fit the concept and vibe perfectly for this song/album. And yes that is Matty Beats in the video. He made all the beats on this album, he's from Philly and we don't get to see each other often, so it was good to get him in the video. Stay tuned man, full 16 song album coming tomorrow.
