    Love the video, especially the use of oils.
    Sagging the tracks: I put two blobs of superglue on top of the wheels and press down with a spatula. I then hold the track in place with a 65mm mini spring clip for about 20 minutes.

    The graphite trick for metallic highlights is super awesome! I really like your videos, you are inspiring me to finish my unfinished model kits. 😃

    This is a older, cheaper kit but you can do so much with it & save money. A great kit for beginners & kids, a Trumpeter kit has better details but costs 3 times as much, if you plan on kitbashing this is great as well. Nice job.👍

    I'm sorry if you don't read English but, this is an absolutely superb job of painting on this tank! Making a single color paint scheme stand out, is very difficult but the green absolutely pops out! Very, very nice Russian armor green, has very much visual appeal and also realistic - the weathering as it is, is just perfect, it isn't obvious and the weahtered looking paint is more then enough but not too much, i.e. exactly right. I really like this model, I';d duplicate it if i could.,

    • @SergioSolo

      son lol senor. If you have ever tried 1/16 tanks, both radio control and static, i think you would make these even better - and the cost of most of the radio control, is not that much more then a Tamiya, static of 1/35 scale.

      Thanks! My very first tank ever was the Tamiya's Flakpanzer Gepard, also very old, but never finished it. I've been testing some heavy mud on it :D I think the T-62A ended up being "shelf worthy"

    • @Eoin6661
      @Eoin6661 7 лет назад +1

      Very shelf worthy! You reminded me just how controllable and forgiving oil paints are, would never have considered using yellow ochre like that, I'll definitely try that next time. Great vid's.

  • @333dmg

    The author doesn't know a big military "secret" of the Russians: the expression "To paint grass" means literally - to paint grass and it was and still is done by soldiers in the Russian army before the arrival of big bosses! The Soviet army did not spare paints and equipment was regularly cleaned, washed and constantly painted!

  • @333dmg
    @333dmg 5 лет назад +2

    In the Soviet army, tankers would go to the brig for rust on a tank! It seems that the tank was abandoned for several months in Siberia. LoL

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  6 лет назад

      Muchas gracias, Gerson. La verdad no tengo mucha experiencia en lo que respecta a barnices. El que más he usado es el de Vallejo, pero a veces deja una capa blancuzca que no me gusta. He escuchado buenos comentarios sobre la línea 'Lucky Varnish' de AMMO, que espero probar pronto. ¡Saludos!

    Hi! I would say that the engine deck should benefit from more rust and stains and a trace of soot around the exhaust on the left side would increase the realism... It had after all a diesel engine :-)
    Otherwise pretty well. I liked the use of ocre for the rust stains. At first I was bit skeptical about it...

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  7 лет назад

      Hey Radu! Thanks a lot for your feedback. I totally forgot the exhaust on the left :P I'm planning to do a "conclusion " video with better photos and maybe a base, if time permits. I'll make sure to add your suggestions

    Hi. Great job! What you think, can i use acrylic paint instead of oil paints to add ocre/rust?

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  6 лет назад

      I guess it's possible, but harder to clean when it dries. I'd suggest to make a few tests before

    Hi, Sergio. I have a couple of questions.
    1. Did you weathering the log? And how?
    2. On 4:17 there is a scratches of lilac color. Is it the real color of the primer layer? I thought it was black, as seen on the previous video...

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  6 лет назад

      Hi, Max!
      1. Apart from a light wash I think I didn't weathered.
      2. All scratches are black. The photography made them look lilac (An example of why we can't blindly trust color photos of real vehicles. Light conditions can change colors a lot!)

    • @MaxPV1981
      @MaxPV1981 6 лет назад

      "Light conditions can change colors a lot!"
      Hm... Are you sure your primer doesn't have some subtle lilac reflections?
      Model paint colors looks very different on straight loook and at the glare.
      Anyway, it looks very good, and I want to try that primer :)

    The author has ruined everything with rust! It wasn't in real life! Soviet tankers would have received a very strict punishment from their commanders, but the army was organized in such a way that it simply could not happen. I'm sorry, but your job is a deception.
