Knee Wall Prep with the family and pleasant surprise around the new house, hot February day in Texas

We had big plans for this day, to get a lot accomplished, but Josh was wanting to make some progress on restoring a trailer on his day off, and then it got surprisingly hot, even for February. We found some shade and cut the studs for the knee walls out of the remaining 2x6 leftovers, with the help of the whole family. We went back out in the evening to see what we could get done, even though a bit reluctantly. It wasn't much, but evenings are always best spend outside enjoying the sunset!
The kids made a discovery of several bunches of bluebonnet leaves around the new house, which was exciting for me because we could never get them to grow here (except one place in our driveway.)
