See this pisses me off from Damon/Delena fans...they justify what he did to Elena but the second Klaus does something like that,suddenly he is the worst...
You think Damon is bad for wanting to save Elena’s life? Why would anyone let a 17 year old girl commit suicide…especially someone you loved..Stefan wouldn’t let Damon die..spoiler
And that’s not the only time he took that choice away from Damon…
@@DellaMcgee-mc4rf and it was wrong when he did it too... Isn't that one of the main things that the very reasonable fans of Damon always hammer Stefan with? that he is just awful because he "forced" Damon to turn (which he actually didn't if we are being technical, because Stefan wasn't the one who feed vamp blood and actually turned Damon; what he did was to forcibly tempt Damon with human blood to complete the transition)... So, which is it? You can defend one and condemn the other unless you are an hypocrite... Also, nobody is blaming Damon for WANTING to save Elena or for being scared about the possibility of a loved one dying; he is allowed to feel and want all of those things... The problem is what he did, his actions... not just because of, you know, forcing himself on Elena once again, but also because this is exactly the thing that he claims caused him trauma when it was done to him and that he "hated" Stefan for... Didn't he promised Stefan "an eternity of misery" for doing that? isn't that the justification?

Even about being a vampire..she would stay a vampire if it meant being with Damon forever…it’s a good thing Damon saved her AGAIN…how many times did Stefan let her die? and how many times did Stefan threaten to kill Elena?smh
It’s so funny, how all grown women who have a healthy mind end up seeing his much a superior relationship Stefan and Elena are. It’s based on respect, and love hand in hand. He’s safe, and puts her MENTAL, emotional well-being a priority .

In my opinion Damon’s sooo wrong for giving Elena his blood. He ignores her choice and essentially taking away her free will and yes she would have the choice of turning but I think the urge is to bid not to change. I don’t see how can be defended with his love for her or fear of losing her.

watching this series again for the 5th time is so facinating. When I first watched it I was all for stelena, as an angsty, bad-boy loving teenager I loved delena and now as an adult I question why I ever liked damon as a love interest. A lot of delena shippers hate stefan for being "boring" but as a grown woman having a man continuously disrespect and disregard my own autonomy and lifechoices would have made me crazy.

I can be here all day naming all the selfless thing he has done in his entire life that the other characters in this show are not even capable of doing it. Elena is not even in a relationship with Damon , how exactly Elena surviving but hating Damon for all the eternity has any benefits for Damon? What does he even catch from this when he can’t even have Elena’s love and all he has is Elena’s hatred? But Elena is the one who’s surviving and who is alive to see another day. This is for her. He literally got nothing out of this.

Damon didn’t turn her he just fed her his blood. She would still have the choice or not to complete the transition. Personally while he shouldn’t have forced himself on her I’m with Damon here. He should have convinced her in a better way but ultimately you would never allow a loved one to go to their death if you could stop it. “Hey honey, I’m going to jump off the Grand Canyon without any safety equipment”. Not a Friggin chance. I understand it’s important to respect her choices but not in a life or death scenario. On Elijah’s Elixir remedy. Now that would have been a massive leap of faith. How do you suddenly trust a guy you hardly know with an ancient liquid & just a few episodes ago you were desperate to dagger? I get he’s charming & powerful but seriously this is who we are trusting now? Again, not a chance. As for Elena’s confession to Stefan that she never wanted to be a Vampire. It was beautifully done in terms of her future decisions with Stefan. I agree he was perfect with her in respecting her desire to keep her options open as such a young girl. Of course she would have hopes & dreams that could change over time but we are in the here & now. There are no good options in my view but just one that would guarantee her future would go on. While that would mean she would have lost so much she would have still had the chance to “live” on if she wanted to do so. She had seemingly made her peace with dying & she still would have had that choice again but it didn’t have to happen right now.
Damon may not have took the choice of her choosing forever to be a vampire, but he still took a choice from Elena. She didn't choose to be fed his blood, he forced it down her throat. Therefore putting her in the position to choose to feed or not. She would have to choose life or death all over again and being her age, of course she would have chosen to transition because who truly wants to die that young, but she also didn't want to be a vampire. At this moment Elena was choosing to sacrifice herself because of the people she loved. She was at peace with that and Damon should have respected that. He literally repeated what Stefan did to him, but in different stages of the transition. The very reason he was torturing Stefan for all those years. Damon did take a choice away from her and he was being selfish. Out of love, yes, but still selfish.
Elena was always my favorite character. The scene in the mountains with Elena and Stefan was so beautiful.
klaus likes punches below the waist. this makes sense what happened with jenna. he could have made a vampire out of anyone who stood in front of his eyes, but he chose her.

Honestly, I never liked the idea of Stefan with any of the brothers. Just the age difference alone, life experience, and goals. Her pointing out that she was still only 17 and full of life options really cements how inappropriate the relationship between these vampires and humans really is. And while yes, while Stefan is certainly gentler towards Elena, and respects her choices more, let's not forget the elephant in the room that he is a re-covering blood addict that used to be even worse than Damon.

The thing is- if Elena died, she wouldn’t have those choices that way either….
I also wouldn’t trust that elixir tbh. The effects of the elixir was so unclear too. Damon thought of the surefire way to bring her back, which was the cure. Damon was desperate to find out a solution, and he gives Elena her blood to save her. It was an impulsive decision on Damon’s part, but I understand why he did it. He wanted to save the girl he loves at all costs, even if Elena didn’t want the vampire blood. It’s wrong of damon to do that, but I get why he did it. I also get why he wouldn’t fully be in Elijah’s side either. Elijah can still be unpredictable sometimes. And they did kill him twice now. Not only that, Elena was okay with dying if the elixir didn’t work which is so baffling to me. She is so cavalier about her life that it’s sad. It kind of feels like she is taking the easy way out with the elixir even when she knows it’s not a guarantee it will be successful.
I mean I think the majority of people would choose to die for the ones they love. He took away her choice though. Not okay no matter how you try to spin it

What he (Damon) would WANT and what we SHOULD do are 2 different things - Elena to Stefan…begging Stefan to save Damon’s life..
This girl on the left tries ever so hard to justify everything Damon does lol. And then says just because Stefan is measured now, he can;t do it later. But Damon has did it now, and you defend that but put a blame on Stefan? Your one dimensional hypocrisy is showing.
The thing is all the speculation of whether what he did being right or wrong is Bull shit because none of us would take a risk with someone we truly love dying the difference is he took her choice away but the alternative is literal death…

P.S. Free will can NEVER be taken away from someone, it is just an illusion. Just because someone changes the circumstances of your situation does not mean they are taking away your free will. You still have it, you are just so dependent on outside factors, and attached to predictability, that people being free to do what they want around you makes you feel troubled and unsafe. And that is how the need for control is so prevalent in current society, always in need for people to act a certain way. You want free will, but you don't even grasp what that actually entails.

Damon took action of a situation where he knew she would for sure comeback and not wanting to take the chance of trusting a original with the elixir. where Stefan yes does trust Elena and respects her decisions but he was okay with gambling with her life. I'm on Damon's side of things.
