'WANGECHI MUTU: Intertwined' at New Museum HIGHLIGHT

Hi Everyone,
Hope you guys are enjoying this weekend! Today I would like to introduce an excellent major solo exhibition of Wangechi Mutu (b,1972, Kenya). The exhibition covers one hundred works from across her twenty-five-year career. Mutu firstly gained acclaim for her early collage practice experimenting transformation, mutation, and camouflage. Then, she has extended these concepts to diverse mediums such as sculptures, installations, and films. The exhibition, "Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined", traces relationships between her recent experiments in artistic practice and her past exploration of the histories of colonialism, globalization, and African diaspora.
