    The bigger trucks get through easier because they have a wider track than everyone else so they don't straddle the same line. Water will compact the sand also.

      I can verify it stains white shirts! 🤣🤣 Actually also my feet and ankles were stained for weeks after stomping around in that slosh filling in wheel ruts.

      Combination. It's usually mostly fresh that seeps out of the sand like most of the creeks etc, but when there's a king tide and big waves, salt water washes in. Plus there's always salt spray mist from the ocean blowing across coating everything with salt.

    Someone needs to get a front end loader in there and level it all out just a tad. Not so much that it's not challenging, but enough to prevent damaging CV joints and steering on that big hump.
