How to: Delete the information that Google knows about you

Google this month revealed a new feature which lets you specify that the company can only hold data about you for a certain amount of time. Now that the feature is rolling out to users, here are the steps you need to take -and why you'd want to.
Just do this. Even if you couldn't care less what Google knows about you, at least step through this process because there's a chance it'll creep you out and you'll want to stop what you can.

Just because they gave you an option in the user interface doesn't mean they will "actually" delete the data. These Ads companies will never delete your data no matter that they tell you. This is a company which collects data from Android phones even when they are in off state.

The point is not that you have something to hide. The issue at hand is how big tech can harvest data about your behaviour and be able to manipulate it. Basically they can expose you to what they want, be it for good or bad. I am not saying that they are using that power in an evil way, but I have absolutely no information about them, their motives and their ethics.
