EZ does most of the driving. Jed's to males are always in place helping out. They all work well with none of them pushing. The new guys shot 12 times at the same rabbit. After over 3 hours we decided the dogs had had enough of that rabbit.
What is your hurry? The new guys shot 12 times at the same rabbit with over 3 hours of running. I am not real smart but that seems pretty effetive to me. It's OK if you want to go fast.
I dont agree or disagree but do you prefer a slower pack? I would rather push the rabbit and kill him with in 20 or 30 minutes let the dogs hunt and jump another one. Again i know its all preference and uts all fun reguardless. You gotta have jump dogs, check dogs, and i prefer a couple fast dogs as long as they dont over run in checks causing the rest of the digs to pull to far
@@alltree78 we need dogs that can run a rabbit under about any condition. When we ran faster dogs they lost a lot of rabbits and had to many days of not being able to run. Depending on the sent the dogs are capable of going faster but me personally I don't care what speed they run as long as they don't lose the rabbit.
I woukd love to hunt open ground like this. Here in Virginia its mostly cut overs and a little field edges
We don't have many open places like that. We were actually on our way to the cover when we jumped that rabbit. It was way to close to the highway.

It appears the associated hunters need some field training as hunters..enjoyed the chase otherwise.
