I would like to contribute for anybody viewing this....if you want better performance from the small Ford v8s....get rid of that Eldabrick carb and put a Holley on it. I've done this on several SBFs and I can tell you honestly that you will be very happy and the difference is huge especially the throttle response. No delay at all with Holley. But the eldabrick hesitates like a dog. WOT very similar once RPMs come up but the driving experience is WAY better with Holley. Even Carter is a better carb than eldabrick. Only thing the Edelbrock has going for it is simplicity. You can rebuild 50 Edelbrocks in the same time it would take to do one Holley. I think I remember they have 24 parts total? 27? Something like that.
Hello, very nice car and nice job describing the car. You’re very thorough. Please take this only as a constructive thing not even as a criticism. Just to let you know it’s pronounced Edelbrock intake or carburetor not Eldabrock. I’ve heard you say that in several videos now as I watched many. I thought I would just let you know so that you don’t sound funny saying it. But yes it’s pronounced Edelbrock not Eldabrock. I hope I don’t sound petty by saying this to you. Keep describing the cars because you do a great job. You’re very thorough again I like the way You describe the cars. I wish you a bright and happy future. Sincerely, Troy
Manual transmissions don't typically need an trans cooler, while automatics do. So we know this mustang is an automatic, because he said it has a trans cooler.
