2012 for m e and triggered my awakening
Hurt people don't hurt people, I don't think. I used to think so when I was really young but life schooled me up on it. People who are actively HURTING hurt other people. There's a significant difference. Study genetics. People literally come into this world already geared to either be selfish or prosocial. In a survival group in the wild, you'd probably need all kinds to survive. Bad crops and famine create gestational stress that leads to behavioral issues in offspring for the next 3 or 4 generations. As far as I can tell, that's karma in action - and nobody, not you, not me, can fix somebody's karma for them anymore than we can change their genetics. It isn't *just* trauma that turns people into assholes. People are born with the traits they're born with and respond to the influences in their environment the way that they do because of their genetic makeup. Their environment and the people in it respond, in turn, to their responses. We're all co-creating our own realities with our actions and perceptions from the moment we're born. Spirit doesn't seem to care much about the fact that it feels rather unfair to be harmed by our own behavior, even as babies, but that shouldn't be surprising considering the fact that spirit was making famines happen for hundreds of thousands of years before we figured out how to do farming. Spirit clearly wants assholes to exist or spirit wouldn't have created a planet that imposes the kind of environmental pressures that shape humans into aggressive, selfish assholes on a genetic level. But alas, spirit created a planet that shapes our genetics into all sorts of angels and monsters. And as far as I can tell, the angels aren't any "better" than the monsters. Like, there's no competition in spiritual terms. There's just different tiles in the mosaic of the human condition. Some people are already hurting when they get here but they don't know it because in this life, they've only felt that hurting.... I personally believe that humanity can overcome the sleeping karma and hurting that goes along with it, but there's an awful lot that we humans have built into civilization that makes it pretty unlikely. I think we have to start working on our collective karma before certain kinds of individual karma can even be thought about. Wishing peace for your soul, honey.
