    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! I hesitate to try him as a DPS, because he doesn't have any good synergies going on there. Then as a support you just cut a little of the healing out of this build (or just don't rely on it) and he is a superb support for a Sharp DPS.

    Your guides are fantastic. One minor feedback. Do perks before starting deck. Since how the game works you have to assign perks before you enter main town. Having Perks as first part of video makes sense. I always have to skip around your vids watching perks first with slider etc =)

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад

      Thank you so much!
      My most comfortable team is Magnus/corn/ottis/regi because that's what I first pushed m16 as.
      Most enjoyable team? Self-burn Cornelius pre-amputation (can't really call it a nerf). There is something VERY satisfying about passing the turn to the enemy and them all popping into ashes as they each take their turn. The closest thing we have to that now is a Wilbur Spark team. Both of those comps run your choice of tank+heals with an Eve support.

  • @lunarwhaler
    @lunarwhaler 2 года назад +2

    Gustav! Been looking forward to this one - this, Heiner, and Grukli are probably my three most-wanted guides out of who's left.
    So you mention the deck example here being sort of an all-purpose, and cutting what doesn't make sense for your particular team comp. What in particular would you be looking to fill those gaps with, where you cut cards? Deflects for more cantripping? More vanishing Chant of Accuracy?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад +1

      Early game you can accept filler of just keeping the Shivs. Ideally it would be more deflects. You really only want to run about 3-4 Chants of Accuracy just because you can only play so many in a turn, and only really want to be spending time on them on turn 1. Turn 2 you want to be focused on team survival. Eventually those gaps are filled in with talent cards and the big songs mentioned in Act 4.

  • @winstonmay4034

    Honestly you have improved a lot. The videos are pretty good now and without many large flaws other than duration but honestly that is inescapable with your style. Do you play any of the other game modes other than the standard mode? Dont think you have actually posted anything on either weekly challenge or obelisk so was curious because they are vastly different in terms of thought process

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад +2

      I play Obelisk mode occasionally. I enjoy it because it's easier and you level up faster. You also get way better items. :) I dislike it because it's easier, haha.
      I plan to eventually post some Obelisk Mode content; just so much I want to cover.

  • @fishingenthusiast222

    You only run two Chant of Accuracy in that act two save. Is that right? Doesn't that cause you to have low damage issues?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад

      There is a 3rd Chant hiding in the 1-cost area, and a 4th one hiding as a Scavenge. I will eventually cut the Scavenge in Favor of Encore once I get it. My goal is to have around 4 casts of Chant available. I also start to worry less about the Chants in this run as the game progresses, because Bree is dishing out a lot of it as well.

    Hey there, love your videos, extremely helpful. I was wondering, now that blue chant of accuracy costs mana, is there anything you'd change particularly in the builds?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад

      I would consider picking the energy rebate lvl 3 instead of the +1 sharp, especially if I can pickup a corrupted weapon on gustav that gives +1 sharp. Those are a lot easier to get now.

  • @FastForward025
    @FastForward025 2 года назад +1

    Now that the blue Chant of Accuracy is Self instead of Hero, do you recommend us use all yellow?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  Год назад +1

      Yes, the goal is to get the sharp on your dps still. Energy budget will just be tighter. So likely you will want to use 0 cost setups until you have an adrenaline

  • @frnzprncp
    @frnzprncp 2 года назад

    @DeckerTech So with the change to chant of accuracy would you still recommend doing a 3x start at 1 energy and dropping captivating or something?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад

      Yes, all the deck building and strat stays the same, you just end up having to decide between healing and sharp more often. If anything I would go one less vigilance, since that is one of the biggest energy drains. Then ofc picking up the song rebate talent if you need to be both a sharp machine and healer one turns 1-2 (I still go +sharp talent most the time).

    has this been changed? i just started playing the games and have 30 hours on it and i love playing sharp build with andrin i wonder if this is still viable or it has been nerfed/changed

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  Год назад

      It has been nerfed shortly after my video...
      However, it's still exactly how I play Gustav/Andrin support. The notable changes are that the 'hero' sharp costs 1 instead of 0, and his free healing talent was lowered significantly. This means you have to be more picky about where you spend your energy, and maybe run the 0 cost chant of initiative for a bit.
      Key cards are:
      Trace (innate target hero).
      2 vigilance (innate draw).
      2 chant of initiative (cheapest versions you need).
      Setup (0 cost for Gustav, 1 cost for Andrin or if you van afford it.
      Deflect (draw).
      Optional:
      Song of celerity ( I think thats the name, innate fast to all)
      The all enemies slow song.
      Preferred healing cards.

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  Год назад

      Exactly, before those two were added.to the game, it was simply used as a way to preview enemy cards. Now they added some damage and healing for those two characters, but it's still fairly mild.

    • @loopingmoon1444
      @loopingmoon1444 Год назад

      @@deckertech-aaron so what would you recommend using over vigilance when running gustav? Im currently using gustav, grukli, heiner and reginald. Do think I need to change comp for more damage though

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  Год назад

      Vigilance is there for the card draw and innate, not for the sight. Use it paired with trace to dig through your deck better. Vigilance will also clear a stack of buffer for enemies.
      Grukli should be plenty of damage on his own if given resources: sharp, bless, inspire, energize.

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад

      Any non-frog bard will need a very consistent deck to ensure getting Stanza 1 on turn 1. (They plan on removing the perk for it soon). Other than that is translates fairly well. Gustav starts with some good Dispel songs and the Chants of Accuracy though.

  • @AdhdAussie

    This is abit lame that it relies on corrupt trace otherwise you discard them and have to rotate?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад +1

      Normal trace is perfectly fine. Sorry that I was unclear about that. I often run the self trace for speed of gameplay (dont have to target), then switch it at Archon to target hero.

  • @zsaida9424
    @zsaida9424 2 года назад

    Melodic Rhythm is now 5% health recovery with +1 heal/regen. Blue Chant of Accuracy is now self; yellow is anyone but costs 1 and does not burn. Not saying this is a build deal breaker but it does Gustav no favors. To compensate I lean towards going with Fanfare. You allude to doing this anyway. I'm not sure if that's enough. I tend play with a friend and we use balanced groups - not setting up one character to kill everything.
    Love your content. It's relevant, thoughtful, so thank you for it.

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 года назад

      Thank you! I agree that the cost rebate talent goes up in value with the changes, and Gustav has to be more considerate with energy usage overall.
