Such a fun video! I love all of your altar pieces, and your friend's artwork is truly awesome. Here in southern California, it's been warm enough for the lizards to come out of hiding. ☺There are wildflowers starting to bloom - blue lupines and California golden poppies, which I am starting to draw in my sketchbook. During my bike ride the other day, I stopped to look at another type of flower and noticed a miniature baby grasshopper on it, just over a centimeter long! It was so adorable. You do justice to spring season. I also love spring because of the awakening of our senses to our surroundings. I have a similar easter egg but mine is a yellow, blue, orange and green vintage made of paper from 1950's-1970's West Germany they call it papier-mâché Easter egg. It has cartoon images of mom and dad duck with chicks emerging from the egg and colored Easter eggs. It reminds me of growing up In Belgium in the 1970's and 1980's. Wonderful childhood where children learned social skills through animal characters in cartoons and toys. I also like the dreamy images on tarot cards. I use them to wake up my creative mind by trying to guess the metaphoric meaning behind the images before revealing it within the writing on the card.

I recognized it too! It's a 17th century melody from Henry Purcell's "The Fairy-Queen". The melody was later featured in the soundtrack to the 1995 film "Restoration". Absolutely lovely music and an excellent movie for fans of historical drama & Robert Downey Jr. 😊
who are you referring to splats pagan words on things? and how do you know that they dont know what it is or that they actually honour it instead of it being just an aesthetic?
Sorry I didn’t mean they just do it for the aesthetic, I know they actually care. No one person in particular, even just a google search and reading blog posts or seeing random things shared on Instagram comes up with this. At this time of year I see so many posts about the pagan goddess Eostre with tons of info about her that isn’t attested in historical record, so I think it’s interesting to look at the actual history as well and see where it all came from. I also feel the same way about correspondences.
But as I also said in this video, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with just following your instincts and practising how you like. In fact, I think it’s the best way forward, but I always like to mention the historical record as well.
@@Lunaleodrune ah okay I understand that, thanks for clarifying..yeah it is hard to know sometimes on Insta especially who is true and or who is just following a trend, now that the whole witchy thing is so popular..yeah its important to know history about it and then i suppose create a bit of a unique twist and customise it personally..
It is critical to know the history and facts surrounding any culture or spiritual practice. A lot of people on social media appropriate "pagan" or "witchy" trends to sell products and boost social media algorithms. It's inauthentic.
