Thanks for the helpful video! I just bought the same one and so far it's very good. Where did you get the dust port adapter from? I'm having a hard time connecting my 2.5inch Ridgid hose to it, even with Ridgid's adapter kit.
I got the dust port adapter on amazon, but it is specifically for the DeWalt dust extractor. You would need to measure the outlet and try to get one for the Ridgid. You may want to reach out to them to get help on that. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful as I do not have the Ridgid extractor.
Hi. Have you ever put a straight edge against your cut to see if there is any day light between the straight edge and the piece you cut ? I appreciate your input. Thanks.
I guess I have not actually done that, but the tracks for the track saw are much straighter than anything else I have that long. Also, I build a cabinet with maple plywood and everything seemed very straight during that build. This is a great question, but I guess I just haven't had any reason to question any of the cuts so far. I'm sorry if that doesn't help.
I do like it. I don't regret getting corded. I would hate to have a battery die on me when I need to make a lot of cuts. Plus, I always have the dust collection hooked up. I just keep the vacuum hose and cord together.
@@HowIDoThingsDIY Good points. I actually ended up getting the cordless version since Home Depot had a good deal for the cordless tool, two makita containers, two batteries, and a charger plus a free 39" track. Couldn't pass it up. I also got another 55" track for now.
'extremely dangerous' on a table saw, when using that size of table saw ;) But this saw is a very good alternative. I have been using a variant of Festool (cable) for years. But looking at Makita LXT now, as I have more tools of that battery system. Buying more Festool is just too expensive.
I did a lot of research. Reviews were great, and I have other Makita tools that I like a lot. The only complaint I've heard is that the track adjustment cams can wear with use. I think they may have made an update, though, because these look different to me.
Cutting a large piece of plywood on a table saw is not extremely dangerous if you are a professional woodworker. It’s dangerous for diy people as all tools are
Nice saw and new tools are always exciting. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. 👍🏼
Thanks. I will. I have several new videos planned.
Amazing new tool! can't wait to see all the things you will create with it!!
Thanks! Me either!
I just bought the same thing with 2 guide rails and the joining kit. I can't wait to use it!
It's a great saw! I need to make some more excuses to bust it out soon!
I'm in the market so this was helpful thanks man!
Glad to hear it!
Nice track saw! Great video review!
Thank you, sir!

Thanks for the feedback. Happy Thanksgiving!@@HowIDoThingsDIY
@@danielam1992 You as well!
I put a piece of painters tape over the opening on the side of the blade guard. It increased the dust collection efficiency even more
I bet it did! Good tip!
Thanks for the video
You bet

Hi, what material do you use under your plywood sheet ?
Gr, hans
That's just 2" foam board used for insulation.
Best review!
Thank you!
Can you put a link to your dust adapter? I can’t find one that fits my Makita.
Do you have the DeWalt Dust extractor?
You could switch to metric - it is so much simpler.
Thanks for the review, I intend to buy one shortly.
I'm an engineer. I love metric. I should get a metric tape.
Do you still like it? Do you wish you would have gotten the cordless version?

That sounds awesome! It would be nice to be able to rip down a sheet of plywood in the Home Depot parking lot so I could fit it into my Audi. Haha
Great DIY saw
I love it.
Do you have a rail square?
I do not, but I would like one. For now, I just line it up with a regular square.
Thanks
You're welcome.!

I can't agree more. Thanks for the comment!
What adapter do you need to connect this to the Dewalt system?
I measured it, and I think it's DeWalt DWV9120.
What made you go with Makita?

I want track saw!
You need one. Just do it.
@@HowIDoThingsDIY I used to work at Nike, till I got fired. I couldn't do it...
@Make with Jake Hahahahhahah
Makita makes the best tools, i wish they made more professional/commercial wood working tools.
All of my Makita stuff seems to be really nice quality. Thanks for the comment!
Dont be hating on the metric, the US is one of 3 countries in the world that use imperial.
I'm an engineer. I actually GREATLY prefer metric. Thanks for the comment!
😂😂😂Metric guide! Metric to America (aside from the military and NASA) is like garlic to a vampire
I'm an engineer and an Army veteran. I love the metric system. I just wish all Americans did.
Metric, just makes cents!
I really does.
