@@susantwilley8555 I didn't understand that either. She appeared to style and set it, then next thing you know its being blow dried twice, cut and tongs 🤷🏾♀️

Wow a flash relaxer that is a new one to me..idk for somebody like me who has not had any chemicals in my hair for about 8 years man I just don't knoe..cute cut tho
Beautiful results but I loved the texture of her hair before the texturizer. Color looks beautiful and shiny and there's nothing like waves and a little face paint.

Wil Brax Isn't that the truth. I love my type 2 hair, in a Wash & Go. I had it cut in a pixie in September of 2016. And then I cut it again in April of 2017. But I didn't use a relaxer. And now my hair is 11 inches, 10 more inches and it will be were it was, when I first cut it off.
Huge fan of Design Essential Products. The stylist was Bomb! Although I’m not a fan of relaxers, her hair turned out beautifully. Gotta share this video...
I've never seen blow drying of curls like that...what is this technique called? And how is this helpful? I'm not criticizing, just want to know; I enjoyed the video very much.
TheMsbells , It locks them in, giving them more detail/formation and movability, thus the ability to form right back, as long as it’s kept dry. Those curls will last over a month long, with really low maintenance. It’s the same technique as when the Dominicans put rollers in one’s hair, put you under the dryer, but still take the blow dryer and the round brush to the hair; securing those curls, giving them depth and definition, making them fluffy, moveable and bouncy, for if they just send you off after removing the rollers, without pinning (way of setting/forming) the curls or using said procedure, they’ll fall and never come back, unless redone.
Exactly! Lol. I’m not sure what the other commenter was talking about. Gave this detailed explanation that was way off base. As you explained simply...loosens up them tighter curls.
This is absolutely gorgeous 💖hair+ makeup... I'm natural but miss my relaxed short hair sometimes. Was that a rinse ( color)applied after the texturizer?
This hairdresser is off the chain! She worked the mess out of her hair. She went to cutting on it I got nervous but when it was all said and done - her hair was flawless honey!
@Gillian Garcia, outstanding you're work ethics, beauty starts with you, to see a professional looking at her best, shows me the care and the love for your profession, not many left that comes to work looking so lovely like you, your blessed by your gifted talent...💕

Hmmm...that was a lot of heat (90 mins dryer time, blow dryer & more blow drying?). Doing this over time seems as though it will damage & dry the hair out. Her hair was pretty but it looked kind of dry & stiff!!
Tee Sweet I was wondering that too. She was under the dryer for 90 mins to get out and get her hair blow dry, then curled.. Thats a lot of heat. Style looks good though
Color period is safe to use with a relaxer. You have to go to a stylist who know what they are doing. I relax and color same day and by color i mean lifting as well. Never had a mishaps because of the correct products that allows for that process.
L Blount semi perm color is ok for adding depth or vibrancy and is used a lot with relaxer services but, don’t assume, I’m not saying you are assuming, that other type color services (Perm, Demi and Lifting) are equally safe to use on every client. Breaking bonds with relaxers and color requires skill and extra care.
You must be living under a rock if you think we don't need product in hair and another thing this was minimal product. If you was watching then you see she didn't...
Put it in, rinse it out, put it in, rinse it out etc. I know most of these lotions are not necessary!!! Hair remedies, so called remedies, are shown to justify the amount of money they charge, not even necessary. Once you apply a great shampoo an conditioner, it will let the "scales" close up and nothing you add after the scales have layed down will penetrate. How many different shampoos, conditioners and fortifiers do you think is really needed??? Only about three. Any additional lotions, creams, conditioners are not penetrating because the keratin is blocked off!!!! Oh the poor black women out there are spending endless amounts of time and money believing they need to do all of these procedures for their hair to look great. Not true. You are really being ripped off!!!! Please, please question why you "need" all these shampoos & conditioners. You really don't need more than three or four. It's a gimmick to part you from your money!!!
Not sure if you know this from watching the video but she gave her not one but 2 chemical services a texturizer is a light straightening service after that the has has to be neutralized she also colored her hair which is a nother chemical service so adding moisture back into her hair is very important for the integrity of this woman hair. (Us Black women need moisture)
I’m sure there are different methods to different types of hair but “most”people do know how to take care of types of hair that are like their own and especially when they have been trained professionally. No empathy needed!
Marilyn, one thing about black women's hair that we Do know, we are all different. One size does not fit all for everyone. Products used were needed and I appreciate my stylist for thinking of the health and care of my hair!
Cheeks how many time souls she shampoo?? After completely rinsing the relaxer she conditioned the hair while the cuticle was open and then shampooed...also that color was a rinse...it’ll shampoo out it wasn’t a harsh color
Cheeks You aren't familiar with the proper right way to do hair. You should always Rinise out a relaxer well with water first and then followed by a Neutralizer shampoo to furtber stop the chemical & for the hair to balance back out. Maybe she didn't need a protein treatment for this visit right after this touch-up, and a semi not harsh color rinse is actually great for coating & protecting the hair... She did great & you can tell the clients hair is healthy & strong. I doubt she washed her hair once but the editing skipped all that out which should be because who doesn't know to wash the hair a 2-3 times..

This is an old technique, usually used on roller sets to soften and loosen the curl that's maybe a little too tight to achieve the desire effect.

Tee Sweet I was wondering why, blow dry after sitting under a dryer for an hour and a half? A lot of unnecessary heat
The only way they use the blow dryer is because her hair may have been a little bit wet still so they do it to insure it fully dry
Or it was on cool shot to lock in the curl. Curl memory.
Lisa Ward Thank you I was thinking cool setting as well..
